    The final 20 mins with the political stuff was a set up into the next season, setting the scene and a more relaxed ending compared to the first 40 mins of the episode which were pretty full of action.

    I'm assuming he shot him because he wanted to survive, really. As simple as that. Never really trusted him throughout personally and it was always clear they were never really 'friends' anyway.

    He wasn't unscathed, but was shot in the side so could have gotten up from that, not all that unrealistically.

    It’s obvious that Tom Hardy wasn’t gonna survive, his involvement with the show was always minimal and actors as big as him don’t usually stick around for several seasons of TV shows. Will miss his bizarre ramblings

    I liked the finale, the Arthur twist caught me off guard. Always changing so to see him go into politics will be a weird one but excited to see how it plays out.

    Pure confused with the relationships now though... is he with the commie bird or is it supposed to be an affair or what ? We know he’s playing her but does everyone else ?

    The younger brother finally stepping up too, hope next season he plays a bigger part in the gang * with arthur and we also see some of the stuff going on in America.

    I was caught off with the Arthur thing as well, surprised to see people say they saw it coming. I thought he was deid, definitely. Cheered when he walked into the room.

    In terms of the relationship, I imagine Poll is the only one (as per) who knows what he is doing. Is he with the prostitute for good now, though as well because they've had the wean?

    I can see Michael being involved with Capone in the US, that would be pretty cool.

    I kinda suspected the Arthur twist (lack of actual deid body being deid) but thought it was a class finale to a great season.

    Didn't suspect for one second the Arthur thing & honestly don't see how anyone could have. So that was definitely an 'Oh *.....' moment .....
    The conclusion of Changretta, while somewhat inevitable was still a good twist on how it transpired even if it all played out a little too quickly.
    Set up some really interesting themes for next series - just an awful loing way off!!!

    Excellent finale and series, didn’t like the ending that much but they are just setting it up for the next season.

    Should be interesting as it’ll head more into politics and America next season, more mafia as wel which is great.

    I have watched all 4 seasons,btbh it has gone way beyond just being unrealistic,cannot see me watching series 5,unless i am pished,so maybe:56:

    Genuinely don’t see what’s unrealistic about it? In an era of zombies, science teacher drug kingpins, blood splatter serial killers and monsters pulling weans into trees it’s a welcome return to realism.

    Sidenote, my missus worked with a guy for 2 years straight up until last summer. Guy was sacked and went and done scaffolding with his brother. He’s the referee in the boxing match at the end :56:random as *.

    watched first episode and hated it,does it get better man?

    Just felt really boring,most TV shows i watch are edge of your seat stuff and want to watch the next one again...this was just so dull imo

    Watched three seasons in two weeks.

    Tried to drag it out longer because I'm not a fan of binge watching, but I'm really enjoying this show.

    Favourite scene so far is definitely the "he tied his lace!!" scene.

    I have no idea what to expect from season 4, has it been renewed for a 5th?
