A move to Tottenham actually fell through because spurs refused to loan him back to Fulham for the rest of the season.

Patryk Klimala's agent has confirmed "we're holding some talks" about his future but his club insist there has been no offer from Celtic .

Record Sport understands the highly-rated Jagiellonia Bialystok hitman is among the list of attackers on Neil Lennon 's radar as they hunt new faces during the transfer window.

The 21-year-old is also thought to be a target for Genoa and FC Copenhagen , the Danish outfit who will face Celtic in the last 32 of the Europa League next month.

Jagiellonia vice-president Agnieszka Syczewska has made clear there's been no official offer - but doesn't rule out Klimala's departure.

She told Sport.pl: "Celtic have not contacted us about a transfer for Patryk.

"Until an official offer is received these kind of stories can be put between the comic strips.

"We don't have any offers so far, so at the moment there is no indication that Patryk will leave us in the winter.

"On the other hand, one has to be aware that the transfer window in Europe has just opened and it is difficult to predict what will happen in the future."

Klimala's agent also commented on rumours his client could leave this month.

Tomasz Magdziarz said: "There are many rumors during transfer windows and it is difficult to respond to any of them.

We don't want publicity, particularly on this issue, but I can confirm we're holding some talks on Patryk's behalf.

"The window is still open for a long time, so many things could still happen. I think that during the next week we will know more."

This guy aint even an out and out striker, bang average stats too.

Out of all the strikers mentioned this is the one I'd pass on first.

Strange that he's literally miles out the blue. Looks like he hasn't had much football at all. Is quoted at 3.5/4 mill. Lenny apparently was asked and his face gave it away. Him and his club haven't even mentioned us being interested..

Just feels a proper strange one from left field. No to say we don't sometimes do that or they don't come off..

    Dunno. Just does..

Patryk Klimala started preparations with Jagiellonia, but whether he will play in the colors of the Białystok team in spring, nobody knows it. The closest responses may be in Scotland, because after a good round the 21-year-old striker attracted the attention of other clubs, including Celtic Glasgow.

And that's where the most specific interest from the seven goals this season comes from the Premier League this season. The opponent for the striker of our youth team considered by the Scots is Andraž Šporar from Slovana Bratislava.

The price for Klimala is already set: four million euros. This buyout amount was in his contract when he extended it with Jagiellonia in August 2018. The Białystok club avoids entering them into contracts, but it was then placed against the wall. Klimali remained at the expiration of the contract for a year, and if it had not been extended, in a few months he could tie up with another club, and Jagiellonia would care about taste. That is why CEO Cezary Kulesza agreed to the conditions set by the young attacker. At the time, it seemed that this amount would effectively deter potential buyers. Klimala has just returned from a loan to Wigry Suwałki, where he scored 13 goals, but it was still the first league.

The autumn explosion of the form caused that more and more boy scouts came to Bialystok to see what a young sniper he was shooting like that. In Jagiellonia they were aware of the growing interest in their player, which is why they urged Klimala to extend the contract on more favorable terms for him, but without the buyout amount, or possibly an increase. The player firmly replied that he wanted the current contract to be in force.

Today, nothing really depends on Jaga. If an interested person appears, pays four million euros to their account and communicates with Klimaa, only an accountant from Białystok can rub his hands. If the transaction took place, it would be the highest transfer in the history of Jagiellonia. Celtic was the first to quickly get to the point, but at some point he withdrew from the race for a representative of Polish youth. Seemingly! Our findings show that the Scots have come back to the game very strongly and it cannot be ruled out that they will finalize the transfer in their own way in the coming days.

Scottish champions are not the only ones who look at the attacker. FC Copenhagen has expressed interest in it before, and the Italian direction for the most effective youth league this season should not be missed.

Plays as number 20 for the under 21's. An interesting team.

Maybe they've got a ready made replacement in this guy:

We should buy both. Klimala looks a real handful and for £4million you get in their before the Bundesliga sides.
Maybe you nip in and pick up Bartosz Bida before the French clubs do and you've got the striking department fixed.

4m seems excessive for me. But maybe just coming out of his shell and we are grabbing him at the right time.

Aye it does seem a lot considering he's unknown and hasn't had much game time..

Apparently that's his release clause though and he only signed a new deal a year ago..

Seen a few brief clips now though and he does look pretty good to be fair. Might be a shrewd signing but who knows how strong our interest even is..

We always seem to get linked with the Polish market in every window but never purchase.

    Noticed that.

Says he is the one player everyone is talking about in Poland. Which is interesting...at 21 with 7 goals in 20 games I mean its hardly crazy.

    But obviously must be correct.

It's hard for us to have an opinion going by his stats and lack of footage in a league that nobody here covers..

IF we do sign him and he's a good player for us then what I will say is it'll be some find considering all the above..

For all we know his poor club stats could be down to the players around him, if he's playing and scoring for the Poland U21's he's no mug. and going by the little footage there is, i like how he's took some of the goals. I'd take him.
