    It is madness right enough.

Struggling to fit in Johansen, Christie, Allan, Forrest, GMS, Commons, Armstrong, McGregor and Rogic into 3 positions and we're adding a young loan player who most likely won't be here next season? *

Why not just give Nesbitt the chance?

Christie will also be in with that position, GMS, Forrest and Commons. Really don't understand the logic in this. Our focus is obviously the treble but we should be building for the qualifiers, how is a unproven 18 year old who will be returning to his club this summer, aiding that in any sort of way especially above the previously mentioned players.

    Madness.

    Same old same old.
Linked with exciting players early in the window, sign one and things look positive. The rest nowt happens with.
Then sign one loan deal from a 'big' club to attempt to please the fans.
If this is the sum of our January, then Peter has failed us again for the Cl.

Seriously what is the point of this. We have a plethora of midfielders that can barely get a game & we've signed the Scottish equivalent of this guy in Christie. Give him the game time instead. It will benefit us far more in the long run.

In fact this makes so little sense I refuse to believe it's true. if it is it leaves me with serious doubts about Ronny's judgement & I've backed the guy through thick & thin.

So sign a boy from man city, develop him and hinder the development of rogic, Christie and Allan, then send him back to city? Nah.

Can't disagree seems needless and pointless, unless we are trying to keep the link with City in tact..

If this is just a 6 month loan deal with no agreed on option to buy no thanks. Whether we win the league or not and the cups is not going to be decided by signing this kid on loan. Thus I cannot see what signing him to a 6 month loan deal does for us as a club other then take playing time away from our own players who are more then capable of winning the title themselves.

The only way a 6 month loan spell would make sense would be if we needed cover now. I wonder if Forrest is dicking about over the new contract and we're contemplating punting him this transfer window.

Really don't see the point, Ronny has a thing for players from Manchester.

So basically a 4 month loan deal to get this boy in the shop window for a loan deal to a club in the English Premiership next season.

    Sounds great.

Will actually be detrimental to us if we only get him on a deal till the end of the season.

Will be very disappointed if this goes through. What kind of message does it send to armstrong forrest gms and allan. A kid of 18 coming on loan for what? 4 months? Its a joke. We should be signing our own young players and developing our own guys like nesbitt.

pointless, so much for not wanting loans to help develop other teams players.

We don't know what the details of this loan will be so there's no point in getting too freaked out about it. I'm more than happy to have him come here if he adds a bit of flair and excitement to the team. If he scores the winner that secures us a treble I couldn't give a *.

If this does happen I can't wait to read the gushing about the guy coming from folk that called it pointless :56:

It is fairly clear from videos, his transfer fee and the opinions of people that know him that he is a special talent destined to be a top drawer footballer.

I'd agree a 6 month loan deal looks silly on the face of it but I severely doubt it will be as simple as that. Even if he is here for 6 months, what benefit does that bring to a development squad seeing how high a level an 18 year old can reach?
