You are worse than a broken record, you're attention seeking is fooling no-one.

If it's a 6month loan deal, then so be it. If he's good, we'll have had positive input into the team for 6 months, and if it's not, then he goes.

    Simple.

None of us know if it's actually a 6 month deal we are pursing.

I'd be more convinced of us going for 12-18 which would be a good deal. 18 months especially as even if we signed him permanantely we'd probably be unable to keep him longer than that if he proved the real deal:56:

If it's a 6 month deal with a view to a longer one (18-24 months) then I don't have a problem with it. If it's just 6 months and that's it then I would agree it's a bit of a waste. I'd rather develop our own guys for next season.

Very true, unless he turned out to be * obviously, then he'd be here for the whole contract...

There's no way he'd be offered to us for 18 months imo, and there is no reason for us to waste money on a 6 month loan.

Surely a 12 month loan makes more sense for City as well?

Regular first team football here, CL qualifiers and hopefully CL group stage football. If City rate him highly then you'd think he'd have made a few more appearances for them this season.

I don't want 6 months either to be honest.

12 would suit everyone. Come next January we may even be able to convince them of extending it a further 6 months into summer 2017. Who knows what would happen further down the line. He'd still only be 19 by thay time anyway.

6 months would be pointless for us. 12 months please:50: see what the lad can do.

You would imagine, for everyone involved, if it were a 6 month deal it would have the proviso for a 6 or 12 month extension.

We'd get to see if he's ready, he'd get bedded in and if it works then City should be happy extending as well. We get a good player, he gets first team exposure at European level and City get a more mature player and person a year or a year and a half down the line.

Maybe, if he does well in the 6 months here, we'll get the chance to re sign him for another 6 and he can play in the CL.

I agree that a 6month deal for a loanee at the backend of the season seems a bit redundant, but it's not actually as bad as the denayer loan, as forward players are not as integrated to each other as defensive ones. Bringing in Denayer at a time we knew we were going to lose VVD too was total folly. Great to see at the time, but has set us back for the entirety of this season attempting to rectify, so totally counterproductive.

If there was an option to extend for 12months I'd be delighted, but I think that's never going to happen as even a 6month extension would cuptie him for CL if they wanna recall hIm

Would prefer signing someone on a permanent like Elyounossi. However if the lad comes in and helps us to the treble then I'll be delighted. Even if it is just for an initial 6 months, if the boy makes us better then id rather have him than not! :50:

Derek McGregor, writes for The Sun so take it with a pinch of salt, saying that this will initially be to the end of the season with possibility for longer if all parties are happy with it.

Also saying that this shouldn't affect our pursuit of Elyounoussi.

6 month loan.....3 months to get fit and learn the system....1 month of ten mins here and there...should be a great last 2 months...then he can leave just in time for the CL.

Pointless IMO! Promote our own youth, not develop other teams! Perm or heehaw at this stage in the season!
