But can't help but be concerned by the already 8 wingers we have on our books (including Hayes who is more left back versatile for us now).

Where is shved? Arzani still injured? Dembele not able to get a sniff? Forrest needs a rest and there is 3 right wingers already. Adding Roberts would be insane for the overall squad. But id take him back! Just at the same time tear up arzani loan, sell shved and get dembele loaned out to a hibs or sheep.

On the left we have Johnston, Ely, Sinclair and Hayes. It's mad that we have 8 wingers and yet for the most part of December we had to play Christie on the right and Forrest on the left.

MAN CITY are considering cancelling Patrick Roberts’ loan deal at Norwich, according to reports.

The Daily Mail claims the English Premier League giants could axe the ex-Celtic star’s arrangement with the Canaries and send him to Middlesbrough instead.



Roberts, 22, has endured a frustrating season so far, making just four appearances for Daniel Farke’s top-flight side.

The form of Todd Cantwell and Emi Buendia has limited the former Fulham kid’s chances at Carrow Road, with Onel Hernandez also ahead of him in the pecking order.

Boro – managed by Jonathan Woodgate – are 16th in the Championship.

Hoops idol Roberts impressed during his two-and-a-half years at Parkhead, winning three league titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups.

He spent last season on loan at Girona, making 21 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side.



Last month Norwich boss Farke said he wasn’t interested in cutting Roberts’ loan short.


He said: “No, not at all. That is not something we are thinking about at this moment.

“We’ll see how it develops in a few weeks but in general I am pleased with Patrick. Of course he would prefer to spend more minutes on the pitch.

“We have to be a bit careful with our expectations of a player from Manchester City. It’s not like he won the title for them last season.

“He was out on loan and didn’t really play for a side in Spain, who were relegated.



That is not easy in terms of confidence to come to a new club and be in your rhythm.






He had a really, really good pre-season but then he looked a bit tired, which is quite normal, and now we have a lot of competition.

“He will have the opportunity but he’s not 18 anymore. He’s at an age where he has to deliver right now and we will give him every chance.

“I’m pretty confident when there is a chance for him he can use us but it’s up to him.

I’d love him back here. As well as being a talented player, it would give Forrest the kick up the * he needs.

 

Aye he was quite good here but has since struggled to get in a poor Spanish team and can’t get anywhere near a Norwich team that pukki is a star in. He’s had his time here and we’ve moved on, we should be aiming for better.

 

Some players just click at a club. Hes one. Bring him home!

Ii havent been following his career but seems he cant get his game at norwich and i dont hear of other clubs looking for him.
