All ifs and buts, but if McGregor started maybe Roberts would have someone to play off.

The guy was by far our biggest threat when on the ball, he showed tonight that he deserves to be at this level and on any other night with us if guys like dembele and Co were playing we'd all be chatting about how Roberts tore up the right hand side.

Sadly though he was isolated and I don't think our guys could keep up with him so he could very little.

Not a chance. Forrest is far too one dimensional for PSG hence the reason Paddy started.

In games against better teams a maverick is essential.

I agree that McGregor may have helped him but Sinclair, to me was our biggest threat.

Was disappointed by how often he appeared to be in no man's land with no support.

Paddy should 100% have started - but the game was crying out for Forrest at the very least gaining us the yards up in their area when Paddy proved pretty much ineffective.

Aye but he had to play that deep that he couldn't do anything in attack, we had no support so needed guys who could break forward at pace. Roberts isn't slow but he's not fast either, any time he beat someone he had to beat them again as they can easily catch him again compared to Sinclair or Forrest who can get away from guys. I don't think Roberts even got within 15 yards of their box any time he made a run even though he skinned guys numerous times he just kept getting caught and getting it took off him.

Bollocks. Roberts was the only Celtic player in the first half who looked like they belonged in the CL.

Spot on. Luxury player and obviously great for domestic football.

It was a night for being difficult to beat.

We were going to lose no matter what anyway though so it's all irrelevant in the end.

In the 10 and Forrest on the wing is maybe what we should've went with. Forrest is better tracking back and has the pace going both way's. Although Paddy put in a shift, he's certainly not used to being penned in like that then having to virtually go it alone..

We missed that link from midfield to attack in the middle tonight massively until Rogic came on..

Even if Forrest offers more defensively, he's * predictable and unimaginative at this level with the ball and would be dispossessed with ease against teams like this.

I thought he did well; offered us an outlet and on 5/6 occasions he successfully dribbled passed the opposition.

I don't think Forrest would have done much better offensively. He may have offered more defensively though.

Would agree with that. Was one of the more positive points from the game.

You have to show some intent going forward. Was far from ideal that Ralston was playing behind him and it was a risky strategy from Brendan.

    This.

Tried his best and looked like the one who could do something for us. Ultimately tired and lacked support.

Was the only player worthy of pass marks tonight.

Every time he got the ball he looked threatening, and more importantly, capable of doing something.

That he had little support is not his fault.

    Forrest would have been disastrous.

The only time any PSG players looked fazed last night were the 4/5 times he took them on, on the right and beat them. Just so isolated when he got through

He had 3 men on him every time. Did the best he could with hardly any support. Could see his frustration when he was taken off. The lad loves taking people on and he will hopefully have more success during the rest of the group games
