After the window closes no chance. He is nearly out of contract.

If you factor in the Sale of Stuart Armstrong for 8m we have offset that with Edouard , so what is Brendan's budget exactly?
there must be room for a deal like this still to be made and also some other additions such as McGinn.

You would like to think that is the case as all the transactions for Eddie, Stu and Erik where in last year's accounts our spend this financial term on players is zero

Let's say his budget is 15m we could get Roberts,McGinn,Arzani(loan) and a CB for that.

Without blinking mate but you would need to shift on a few players also.

We will not sign a new CB as long as we have the current ones available.

Guy behind me at game yesterday for what it's worth was claiming there is solid interest in Sinclair and boyata from down south.

Benyu, Allan and Christie all free to go also

I'd keep Boyata , Sinclair either needs to buck up or ship out.. Benyu Allan and Christie no losses to the squad.

Anyone who says they don’t want him back is being naive. He’s a fantastic player who’s only going to get better. I don’t think it’ll happen, so I won’t get caught up with the excitement.

If he's not moved by English window closing, I'm going balls deep with excitement.

His signing would be as important to us going forward as a top CB, for me.

I have always backed Forrest, even in his worst days, but an on form Roberts takes us up a level. Especially domestically and against teams who sit in.

Dont see it happening, but would love it to!

Like above ,his trickery on the ball breaks tight lines and is just wot we need when teams sit in ,would give us 10 goals per season easily ,will turn those draws lasts season into wins

Don’t see where he fits if we go on with the 3-5-2, always gonna support the signing but don’t see it happening

Roberts is a class above on form and only 21. He'll fit.

Obviously he doesn't fit the role the way Forrest does, but he's young enough to improve the aspects needed if it really is Brendans formation going forward. Not the only spot in the 3-5-2 he could slot into either, would do damage in a #10 or up top with a partner.

I wouldn't of had a problem with him out there on the right side yesterday, or against many teams in the league, at home especially. But Forrest definitely suits it a lot better.

Roberts, a right back upgrade, a top centre half and I'd be happy to see us go back to 4-2-3-1 tbh.

He would fit as one of the 10s in a 3-6-1 like we played against Aberdeen last year.

Bring him home. I'd happily break our transfer record again to do so if that's what it takes. Think his injury hit spell last year is making some people forget what a special talent he truly is.
