If we offered him a 5 year deal on a good salary in line with our other top players he would be up here like a shot, Just agreeing a fee with Man City and he would also get a cut of that fee 10% or something signing on fee.

If his contract runs out we can get him on the cheap, it would only cost us about £300k in compensation, so we could offer him about £5million up front. I think as he'll be under 23 if another English team signs him Man City and Fulham will be due several £million as they need to be given a fair price as it's an English League rule where when players under 23 run out of contract they need to get good money so it's never free since we're in Scotland we only need to pay UEFA Training compensation which is something like £50k a season - might even be cheaper cause he spent 2 seasons here so we'd save £100k lol

Similar to Ledley and Dembele where they'd have cost English clubs about £5million+, Dembele would have probably cost someone about £8million but we got them for only several £100k.

So if it does come down to a pre-contract he could probably join us and recieve £5million up front and £30k a week but if he joins an English club they'll need to spend about £5million just to get him so it could work out financially it would be similar to join us or a team like Burnley or West Ham.

 

He's only 21 still got a lot of development in him , by the time he's 25/26 he could be worth far more than what we pay similar to Edouard transfer pays for itself in the long run, and if our goal is 10inarow well we need to buy good players to make sure of it.

 

I think his stock went down this season. Some teams will think why spend 15m on a guy who couldn't get in a * team like Celtic.

Did he not pretty much say that he felt he’d done his time at Celtic and wanted to move on? I can’t help but feel he’s now only interested in returning as there might not be anyone else wanting him. Even if that’s the case I’d still take him.

 

I'd take him if we can get him, he and Forrest offer completely different styles that work better depending how we're set up and how deep other teams are sitting. Not a priority though.

 

He is a priority if your drawing 11 games 0-0 he turns those games into wins when fit against packed defenses.

Although we have went 2 up top to change things a bit from the start of this season and look on fire with Edouard's addition currently.

Yes no more messing around with loans, if he comes back to Celtic then he signs and becomes our player. If he is not willing to do that then no thanks.

 

Don't think it's so difficult to do another loan if he's still at Man City when their window shuts.

 

I'd happily take him on a permanent deal. Think he's a class act that'll only get better.
