Pacquiao or Mayweather

Pacquiao would never have ko'd Mayweather.

 

In the 4th round he stunned Mayweather with an average right hand. And he isn't as powerful a puncher he was when in his prime.

 

Bought the package - stayed up til 4:30 and woke up at the end of round 7 - dynamite

 

Mayweather completely outclassed him, danced Manny dizzy.

It must be said Mayweather would have knocked him out 5 years ago aswell.

 

Great fighter, undefeated, makes all his opponents look average.

 

What Mayweather does isn't really fighting though is it? I've admired many counter punchers throughout the years, it's not my favourite fighting style but I respect that art of the sport.

Most people I associate with that though could, and always did at some point get involved in a brawl.

Mayweather just ducked him all night, now I don't know about you but when I watch an extreme contact sport I want to see contact, not some guy picking up 100 million quid to dance about all night and make sure he was tip top for his photoshoot in the morning.

It devalues the sport at a time when it needs a shot in the arm.

MMA is breathing down it's neck, and the fight of a generation was a damp squib because it's poster boy is more concerned with not getting hit than actually being the one doing the hitting.

 

I just seen what you did. Not bad G&W not bad. I didn't even see it first time.

Then again it probably wasn't that good if i didn't notice it right away.

 

That's the way it is though, if it's worked for him all these years and won him countless fights and 0 losses why change? Yes it's boring but there's different styles to boxing just like in football.

Mayweathers a smart fighter, he knows exactly how to win fights and that's the most important thing. And he wasn't ducking all fight, you can't win a 12 round fight by running away.

 

That was Manny's fault, he fought a terrible fight.

Mayweather still spent the whole fight trying not to get hit. He never once looked for a knockout.

That isn't boxing in my opinion.

 

Because he knew he didn't need to, just like a football team doesn't always go out to score. It's boring, but if it wins him fights, I doubt he cares.

It was a Masterclass from Mayweather.

 

I read somewhere that Mayweather is the Mourinho of boxing, I can see that comparison.

 

And is rarely entertaining.

Fascinating to watch but not entertaining.

Mayweather looked okay, Pacquiao looked very poor. It was a dissapointing fight and a dissapointing performance by both. Pacquiao more so. Mayweathers has put on plenty master classes in his career, last night wasn't one of them.
