I love how people call other people big fight fans that know nothing as it was a "masterclass"

I don't give a * if it was somebody's first ever fight they watched anycunt and there dog knows there's nothing masterclass about playing for points. People claim this I modern day boxing well for me if thats how it is I'll never watch a fight again

If running about a ring looking for one and two jabs at times is a masterclass * knows what it would have been called if he had actually went for it

Mayweather is just like Chelsea, park the bus and get a dodgy penalty at the end to win it.

Boring boxing, you look back at so many fights that were epic because they brawled and didn't fight as tactically as Mayweather does, he's scared to lose and he knew if he tried to brawl with Manny he would get knocked out.
Look at their faces after the match, don't even look like they've been in a boxing match.

Mayweather won, not clearly or by far but he obviously did.

He outboxes everyone he faces. You won't be able to beat him on points because he's too good. Knocking him out just isn't gonna happen either.

Pacquiao should concentrate on trying to beat Marquez because he's not, and has never been, as good as Mayweather.

Boring fight, football's the only real sport.

Agreed, I've heard that word being used all morning and it's getting pretty tiring to be honest.

Sorry mate but if your basing that Pacquiao was never better than Mayweather on last nights result then your pretty * stupid:smiley-laughing002: Floyd waited and picked his time well to fight Manny.

And for every 10 games of football, you get about two really great games and the rest are a snore fest. Football has plenty of boring matches aswell.

    Football is quality

I'm basing my opinion on watching them both over quite a few years now

Mayweather, imo, is better than Pacquiao, he makes top class fighters look ordinary and would have done the same to him at any point over the last few years

Last night didn't have much bearing on that opinion because both fighters are past their peak

We'll never know for sure who would have won in their prime but I think Mayweather would have won

A think he'd have been destroyed. And many more would agree. That's why you see Floyd getting pounded even after his win last night. People aren't daft, it's why he never made the fight happen years before because he simply did fancy his chances.

Money aside, a said before the fight it was kind of a no win situation for Mayweather now. He ran away from the fight against prime Pac, so people will always hold that against him no matter the outcome against this current version of Pacquiao.

    Predictable outcome.

Fight should have happened at least 5yrs ago. Sums up the farce that is modern day boxing.

    I said 'opinion'.

Many more would disagree, this could go round in circles. I doubt many agree that he would have been "destroyed", that's just dumb. We'll never know, maybe he did duck him as he was scared of losing his undefeated record, but it doesn't mean he would have lost.

You're right, not fighting him about 5 years will always go against him, he won't be considered a true great, he won't be spoken about on the same level as the real greatest fighters ever, but the same would probably have applied even if he'd beaten him years ago.

Like I said, it's just opinions, some people think Mayweather would have always won, others disagree. It's all pretty futile because obviously we'll never know.

Both fighters will still go down as among the best of their generation and rightly so. But boxing should be like UFC when you have No 1 contenders and are therefore obligated to fight the best.

    agree with the first part.

mayweather would a smashed pacroids * in years ago.mayweather made manny look ordinary, one dimesinal and basic.you honestly think paqauia would have done him 5 year ago?

fairplay to mayweather another boxing masterclass as expected, manny not even on the same level.

Yes we all think Pacman would have done him 5 year ago. That's why Mayweather refused to make the fight happen.
