If this fight had been happening around the time that both of them beat Hatton and Pacquiao was in his prime I'd probably have had a tougher time choosing a winner, but since Pacquiao lost in devastating fashion to Juan Manuel Márquez I don't think he's been the same fighter.

This whole episode really does go to show how much of a genius Mayweather really is. Back when the fight was at its hottest both guys (but primarily Mayweather from what I recall) were stalling on making it happen. Now Pacquiao is on the slide after taking some pretty tough fights in different weight classes Mayweather has not only agreed to make it happen, but the money they're making is still huge.

After that KO loss to Juan Manuel Márquez how many still thought this fight would be as huge a deal as it is? Amazing.

But yeah, Mayweather on points for me in a rather comfortable fashion.

Mayweather on points. I don't like Mayweather but he a genius in the ring and an idiot off it it's like he uses all his brains cells as soon as he climbs over the ropes. I would love to see Pac-Man win but like people have said he's not the fighter he once was. The better fight would be Gennady Golovkin vs Mayweather but that will never happen.

 

Can't wait for it. Hope Pacman wipes the floor with him.

 

I would love to see Pac man smash Mayweather but I doubt it will happen.

Can see it being a pretty boring fight tbh and I'm more looking forward to Aldo v McGregor.

 

Would love to see pac knock him out, but I think Mayweather will manage the fight and get the decision.

 

I tend to believe that the whole fight is being built on the reputation that Pacquiao had maybe four or five years ago, when both of them were really at the top of their game. It won't be easy, but i think most will be surprised by just how comprehensive a win it will be for Mayweather.

 

Mayweather has mastered the art of not getting hit (very often), it's * to watch (dreadful in fact) but it is a skill and no one is better at it than him. I also hope Manny smashes him but I can't see it, I think there'll be some hairy 1st fight maidana moments, not as many but possibly more hurtful sprays of attacks from Manny but it's going all the way to money on points..

I think Mayweather will win, in probably * style, by backing off and hiding round the ring in his usual defensive style, he's like the Mourinho of boxing wins by any kind of sneaky shitebag, anti-fighting/football and he'll most likely do it again.

Who I like better is obviously Pacquiao, a real boxer who attacks and goes for wins in style.

 

I think Manny might pull a special performance for this one.
