In terms of on the park achievement 1970.

It’s difficult to compare domestic achievement to reaching a European Cup Final but it would take something extra special, I don’t even think a Treble Treble or 10IAR would do it.

Do you think Paul if we had won in 1970 it would have taken the myth of the lions and diluted it? Something i don’t think personally but have heard some say it.

Don’t understand the logic, it was just about the same team. If anything it would have strengthened their standing in our history.

I think reaching the final again reinforced it anyway

Not as good as runner up in european cup,9 in a row,etc ...but beating arguably the best team ever in Barcelona in 2012 was one * of an achievement and quite frankly they were lucky as * to get a draw in the away fixture

For me it's reaching the EC final 1970, followed by Seville. My favourite moment as a Celtic fan was just winning the league in 98 (I bet some of the young ones can't wrap their head around how much joy a league title could bring); but it doesn't really count as a truly great achievement IMO.

Seville , we were a great side all conquering run and went toe to toe with peak mourinho in the final who won Cl next season , and would have dismantled our current team, but to do a double treble and one of them an invincible unheard of at 10inarow would set them apart.

Invincible treble is right up there. Amazing season and we’ve seen the last two seasons how difficult it is to maintain that level of consistency and performance on all fronts, even while being distracted by Europe up to Christmas.

Probably not the greatest achievement but it will be talked about in 50 years time.

Some of the football we have played under Rodgers in the invincible season is maybe some of the best in terms of pure football, but O'neills team probably overpower them and we had Larsson.

I would rank it as a great achievement solely on the circumstances around it, what a weekend I had after that game. :84:

Double Treble - going invincible in one of those seasons, as well as competing in Europe at the same time. Hard to beat imo, but I didn’t live through the 90’s.
