    started work at 7 this morning and finished at 3 this afternoon to avoid a roasting,have a thermometer in a shady part of the yard at the back of the house and it was 29 degrees at half four.

    Be careful what you wish for. You can’t go out in that weather and it’s a constant tiredness with it. Resorts go strangely quiet and no * on the beach or at the pool. Was in Portugal a few years back and it was a steady 38 degrees and I couldn’t wait to get home after 2 days. Been there many times and usually about 30-32 but this was vicious and we spent most of our time in the apartment standing under the aircon and C-beebies on TV the whole day. * on earth man.:47:

    Same! This time last year I was getting cooked in it building a stone wall. This year I've been in a digger till 10.30 at night getting cooked. * hate it

    Honestly a get that. But the hotter the better for me. Unless the pool is bubbling and the cider is warm a think I'll cope.

    * that, anything over 22 is too hot to me and that's not far off double my comfort heat. I prefer going into Europe in spring or autumn because the heat then is like the heat here in a nice summer.

    Went to Vegas on my honeymoon last year in August.....40 degrees everyday. First time I went was October and was a very comfortable 20-25.
    Swear down the asphalt was melting.

    But....I got used to it and * loved it

    I'm near sure it was 40 in Seville on the day of the game or the day before. Was * torture. Was that warm I had to sleep on the roof of the car at night then when the sun came out the morning of the game, was getting baked in it. In the stadium that night I was drenched in sweat from head to toe. It's been the warmest I've ever felt and never want to experience that ever again.

    Big difference in Vegas - you get dry heat without any humidity. Love Vegas for that reason (among many others :84:) - it just doesn't feel as hot.

    When you add the humid stickiness, anything past 30 chases me back indoors. This coming from someone who grew up in a place with long summers regularly at 30-40 with 100% humidity. :38:

    Rocking the Celtic shorts yesterday and today, wife suddenly noticed something last night and asked if was wearing pants underneath, which seeing as they have netting and all my pants are black is a no :36:.

    She’s not impressed and was moaning at me all night like it’s my fault this woman in the pub kept staring and smiling at me yesterday lunchtime.
