The only 'clear difference' here is that you have no clue on Irish history but yet seem to make 'know all' posts !!!!

The majority would vote no in the South to unite Ireland.
Alot of them look at people in the North as there from a different country..

Absolutely. It is only my opinion based on those Irish guys I know and what I would want myself if I was Irish. There may well be a strong urge to unite the island that exists ahead of economic or fiscal concerns. To be honest, I just havent witnessed it from anyone I have met from the South before.

Yeah, maybe you are right. But I have not seen any evidence that would suggest the ROI would want to adopt NI (and that is exactly what it would be rather than a union). Other than purest nationalism I cannot think of a single argument in favour of it. But as you say that sense of nationalism may be strong enough to over-power every other argument.

Yep lol, I found his post highly amusing. But I did not wish to correct him, because I thought his error was fairly obvious.

Some really bizarre points made in this thread. Most notably discussing 'democracy' in the context of 'Northern Ireland'! The very foundation blocks on which the plastic, gerrymandered, sectarian statelet was built on is the antithesis of 'democracy'.

Similarly, guessing what the 'majority' of Irish people want is failing to grasp that there has already been a democratic mandate established.

Only one way to find out.

And it doesn't matter if "alot of them look at people in the north as there from a different country" as long as that "alot" are in the minority.

I dont think they are in the minority tho.
I live on the border and around here they would be in favour but going further down south it's different from personal experience..

If they voted no it wouldn't because they see us as from another country, it's more likely because they do t want the baggage of the loyalist scumbags and Orange Order, the cost to keep them etc and I wouldn't blame them for thinking that as many times I've thought about moving back down south to get away from all the * in the north.

Closet unionists as they found themselves on the wrong of the border when the British illegally created the gerrymandered state of NI.

They see people from NI who pay tax to the UK as traitors.

How are people traitors for living under occupation? What are they meant to do, leave the Brits to it and move to the Free State? It's their home FFS!
