24th March 2010 we were hammered 4-0 at St Mirren, resulting n Tony Mowbray losing his job.

It's amongst the most embarrassing defeats I've ever experienced as a Celtic fan. Was anyone on here there that night? What are peoples memories of it?

    Our line-up that night was:

    Zaluska
    Wilson Thompson O'Dea Braafheid
    N'Guemo Ki
    McGeady McGowan Samaras
    Keane

I can't remember any of the goals but my abiding memory is the pictures of Mowbray just looking like a broken man. I found that quite sad as I have always liked the guy. My first Celtic game was his testimonial in 92 and I used to go and watch Boro as a kid and the guy was immense. A proper leader and a great centre back seeing him just look so lost was sad. Obviously he had to go after that game though.

And Brown ended up left back.

I was on, I can remember it being more defeated than anger.

I was watching it in a hotel room in Norway. Was very * off, switched off the telly and headed for the bar to drink some of the most expensive alcohol on planet earth - on the company card of course :lager:

Speaks volumes that only seven years later not one on that teamsheet plays for us anymore.

I wasn't at the game but it was very depressing. When you look at the team it's easy to see a half decent manager would have beaten St Mirren easy enough with them so it just shows how demoralised we were.

You could just feel that was going to come from somewhere soon, it felt surreal us looking that bad even with how we were playing up until then.

Remember watching and my overriding memory was "*" i was always a bit sceptical of the all out attack approach big mogga adopted ,there was no safety net in that team at the time , he would take off mids and defenders and put on more fwd players to chase a game and it would end up worse , the most important thing is to not lose a goal then build a better attacking team that could defend as well .It was a bit sad how it ended for him .

That starting XI now play for:

Wisla Krakow, retired, Southport, Dundee, Utrecht, Kayserispor, Swansea, Preston North End, Dundee, Real Zaragoza, LA Galaxy
He definitely played left-back at some point under Mowbray, but I don't think it was that game.

I wanted Mowbray too succeed so badly
That performance though was probably one of the worst I can remember in my time supporting Celtic we got lucky only conceding 4 it could have been a cricket score

I've looked at a couple of sources (BBC, SPFL, Celtic Wiki and some Scottish papers) and none list Brown among the squad that night.

He came on and replaced Lee Naylor in a defeat at Kilmarnock (Robbie Keane's debut) a couple of weeks earlier, so I guess that was it.

    * *, I could have swore down dead this was his return from injury. He came on, went to right back then ended up at left as we chased fhe game.

I would've said it was that game as well, I guess we just blend the miserable memories Mowbray gave us into one game. Makes it easier to cope :56:

Mental that, in my head that was the moment I knew he'd lost it. Always assumed it was that St Mirren game :56:

Was it not McGeady that ended up left or right back in this game lads?
