The physicality of the Championship? The guy is an animal and the Championship is being run roughshod over by Teemu Pukki.

This guy would easily cope with the physical aspect of any league. He's going to bully defences for the rest of his career. And then you throw in his speed and work rate :35:

My type of player. So glad he's on our side :shamrock:

Should be able to cement himself in the Scotland setup now too after this recent bit of form.

Scotland for the future looks promising...

    Bain
    Tierney
    Mcgregor
    Forrest
    Christie
    Burke

And a whole load of other upcoming guys coming through..

    Ralston
    Henderson
    Johnston
    Morgan
    Even the young Dembele

    Add to that,

    McKenna
    Armstrong
    McGinn
    McTominay

And a whole heap of others showing promise too.

Excellent for Scotland, the top 6 there, Bain, Tierney, Mcgregor, Forrest, Christie and Burke should take 6 of the 11 spaces straight away.

His pressing is exemplary, he’s the definition of a Rodgers player. Has to start upfront v Valencia.

Him, Weah, Eddy and let’s not forget Griffiths - all fit and on form that’s a genuinely top draw forward line.

Not to mention Robertson and Fraser are arguably 2 of the best performers in the EPL this season.

All Scotland is really missing is that Superstar player we have been starved of. Burke very well could be that player.
I would honestly pay the £15m to sign him. That's how much potential he has already shown.

I knew he was a powerful pacey player before he came but what I didn’t expect was his work rate and technical ability.

West Brom are * mental to not give him a chance never mind the fact they paid £15M for him and not play him.

I haven't seen much of Robertson in a Scotland jersey but the guy is a sensational player.. he has that spot nailed down Id imagine.

Have to say I wasn't impressed anytime I saw him, especially for Scotland. Couldn't believe the fee Leipzig paid for him.

But here so far he's been a breath of fresh air, hardworking and seems to be enjoying himself, you can see that when celebrating goals (other players one's too).

It's hard to say he should be tried out wide with our current crop but think that's where he could prosper, he has been impressive up front but still believe we have better players for that position in Ed and Timo.

Big and physical and bags of pace. Going to be a powerful weapon in SPL. Think he could terrorise Rangers with that power.

Don't think he's technically good enough to play in the 10 role. He's more of a speed merchant with loads of power

Questions being asked now who's the better centre forward, him or Eddy.
Technically I feel Eddy is better. However Burke's power running is clearing out space all over the place when we're in possession and scaring the crap out of defenders when we press. The standard of our press game has jumped enormously due to him. He's way beyond Eddy in this department, in fact I doubt Eddy will ever hit that level of enthusiasm about chasing lost causes.

His running and Bains speed of release have changed our game since Christmas.

I dont think West Brom fancy him at all. Be no harm making contact and testing the waters. Throw in Compper and I reckon they'll snap our hand off.

Even at Liverpool I'm not so sure. There was an ex pro on a podcast (I can't remember for certain who it was exactly) who made an interesting point.

Basically the gist is that he was arguing the influence of VVD. He was saying VVD has probably added 10m to the player value of those playing around him. He picked out Robertson in particular and said to keep an eye on Robertson for Liverpool, he doesn't do anything without getting the nod from VVD.

Obciously this peaked the interest, so I watched Robertson a couple of times after that, specifically keeping an eye on what the ex player mentioned and he was absolutely bang on. Robertson wouldn't push on unless VVD was shouting at him etc.

There's maybe a reason the guys not played at his best for Scotland?

Get Compper to grow the Burkie chin strap beard and send him down. Just say Ollie got a bit of a Glasgow tan! They'll never know.
