    Yeah I'm inclined to think we would be paying half of each of the loans, so add another 70-80k on to them four as well.

    A great start Celtic. Get the quality in now. Honestly if we had 4 quality additions now I would be made up, maybe 5 if am being greedy. Or go for 4 new faces and give tienrey a peach of a wage rise.

    Aye but you not rating him is hardly reason to categorise him as deadwood. Hardly fair to put him with Hendry. Guy works his socks of. Fills in any position without fuss.

    I reckon including Rodgers and his entourage we have taken over £250k a week off wage bill since February

    I’m hearing PL has the king stiffy going on. Thinks he’s 25 again, says it’s better than *.

    The 4 loans were probably on good money too. Freeing up this much cash gives me a lot of confidence as that is money the club was obviously willing to pay out so likely will again

    But the fact I don't rate him at all means I do count him as deadwood, even if he tries hard. I don't think he's a good player, so I'd get rid.

    I've no problem with these kind of utility players being offloaded as part of upgrades, but to move without replacement is folly. So, Hayes out and better LB in, yes. Just out to clear wages, no.

    DORUS De Vries has announced his retirement from football, having spent three years at the Scottish champions. During his time at Paradise, the 38-year-old goalkeeper won three league titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups, and will now continue to pursue his coaching badges in the Netherlands.

    Celtic Football Club wishes Dorus all the very best in his future endeavours, and extends the same gratitude to departing players Emilio Izaguirre, Cristian Gamboa, Regan Hendry, Dedryck Boyata, Mikael Lustig, Filip Benkovic, Scott Allan, Youssouf Mulumbu, Oliver Burke and Jeremy Toljan.

    Likewise, the club wishes every success to its outgoing reserve players Reece Willison, Ross McLaughlin, Wallace Duffy, Thomas Caffrey, Lewis Bell, Ciaran Diver, PJ Crossan and Kristi Marku.

    The club also welcomes back its returning loan players, Ross Doohan, Jack Aitchison and Robbie Deas.
