Pish is harsh, he's been ok considering.

What are you using as a measurement, like is there a player who you would say in a 25 man squad is the lowest of ability we should go?

I would agree with that. A good player to have in the squad. We play so many players we need guys like Biton who can step in and play a role and he can do that for us.

hes a good player, threatened to be a great player

if he only had a 2nd gear

his poise technique and control of the ball is one of the best in the squad

Top player and top lad, I still have faith.

Would probably need to play a 4-3-3 with two energetic midfielders (suppose McGregor and Brown would do, although you'd like someone other than Brown at this stage) and he'd probably be able to showcase his talent a bit more in the lone pivot. Can't really see Lenny doing that tho, it'll either be 4-2-3-1 or heaven forbid 4-4-2 for the most part.

Reports this morning it was Lennon who sanctioned the extra year option on his deal, Celtic hierarchy wanted to let him go apparently!

He already has a year left. They have decided against paying him off.

That’s what I thought but apparently it was a year option we triggered * knows * shouldn’t be here anyway! Got a decent 6 months out of him from 7 years!

Apparently we held a year option and Lenny activated it

    Alarming..

Clearly wants to keep some of his old team from his first stint..

Bitton, Izzy and Lustig for me personally should all be going this summer. It's clear we need an injection of freshness, pace and youth, which these guy's aren't gonna provide..

He knows his Sauchiehall Street from his St Vincent Street, an extra year makes sense.

He had a flat out 5 year deal under Ronny. No year option was ever reported.

That version of the story isn't quite as salacious Dev.

4 year deal with an extra years option which Lennon has taken up and Bitton is keen on now chips have been reintroduced at Lennoxtown is what I'm saying.

He signed a 5 year deal Ronnys last season.
He's not my favourite player but I could see why Lennon would want a versatile player who seems to be a big character in the squad around for another year.

In a perfect scenario you would take him and lustig's wages and use them elsewhere.
But sometimes having these players around the squad can be more beneficial for squad morale behind the scenes etc.
Especially the fact they have a good relationship with Neil too.

See Sinclair was reported as the same straight 4 year deal then this “option” appeared.

He is here now but think his wages could have been used elsewhere
