If someone offered us the same money as we are paying for David Eboue I'd snap their hand off. I'd drive the big guy along with Dudu Duhan to the airport and make sure they both got on the plane.

Was great when he played in the midfield 3 with Brown and Ledley under Lennon. Then got injured and was great in Deila's first season.

Looked severely exposed the second season. Probably down to the fact he didn't have Denayer and van Dijk behind him anymore. Has looked out of sorts for a while, looks even more lethargic than usual.

Definitely suited to continental football. One of our best players in a lot of the European games he's played but really needs to be part of a midfield 3 to be effective in my opinion. Will do well elsewhere.

 

How are folk comparing him to Tam Jesus

 

Think he wasnt able to get a work permit when Man City wanted to sign him.
But youre right he is a good player, just doesnt seem interested half the time. And hes no fight in him

 

Had such high hopes for him after Deila's first season in charge but he hasn't fulfilled that potential. Be glad to see him go now, doesn't suit the style Rodgers wants to play and I think he is better in a 3 man midfield as mentioned previously with him sitting deep and runners either side. Think he would do well in Spain or suchlike.

Will be disappointed when he leaves, in a way, because of what it could of been.

Has a lot of ability but is lacking something crucial to make it here.

I had high hopes for him when he came here and he has had a couple of really good patches during his time with us but never pushed on to become the kind of player I hoped. This season he has been an empty jersey unfortunately so with the best of luck for his future I think it's time he moved on to try and find some form elsewhere.
