Ottawa wins a game 6 heart breaker in OT. Boston battled all series, but you could see it coming in OT. Goal by Clarke Macarthur (ON THE POWERPLAY BECAUSE OF COURSE). Overall, with 3 of our top 6 D injured, number one centre out, and battling some extremely questionable reffing all series, I can't be too upset. Proud of the progress we made this year, and excited for next season already. Charlie McAvoy is the Bruins equivalent to Kieran Tierney, gonna be a superstar.

Elsewhere, Edmonton and St Louis both advanced with wins away from home, and NYR beat Montreal (uuh * ya). I'll pull for the Rangers to beat the * outta Ottawa.

Washington, NYR, Anaheim, and Nashville are my second round picks.

:56: @ TSN for placing the Rangers 8 out of the 8 remaining teams in the playoffs as far as rankings go. No offense to the Sens or Bruins, but that was by far the worst played first round series. Neither team really looked like they belonged in the playoffs. I would be shocked if the Rangers get knocked out by Ottawa.

I think the Rangers should be more like 5 or 6 based on the first round.

I would rank the remaining 8 like this (based on watching the first round):

    1) Anaheim
    2) Pittsburgh (but they could easily be 1 as well)
    3) Nashville
    4) NY Rangers
    5) Edmonton
    6) Washington
    7) St. Louis
    8) Ottawa

    You are fake news.

Respect your opinion, but both teams showed everything that makes a playoff team what it is. I don't disagree with you about the Rangers ranking, but that Boston-Ottawa series was a tough grind for both sides, not sure what you saw to make you think otherwise.

Fake news thing is old at this point..

That said, I meant no disrespect to the Bruins or Sens on the series they played. They were all fun games (I literally didn't miss a game of that series). That said, I watched every game of the Rangers series, the Caps series, the Sens series, and caught a game or two from every other series and based on watching all that hockey, the Sens and the Bruins looked like the bottom of the barrel of the 16 teams that made it. I think Calgary looked similar at times. Honestly, the Hawks looked the worst, but they have the hardware to prove they are a playoff caliber team.

I felt like the Sens and Bruins played sloppy hockey and were a step behind the rest of the series I saw. Don't forget, I like the Bruins man, I used to live 3 minutes from TD in Boston. They are still a year away from being good again.

Obviously, anything can happen in the playoffs and maybe the Sens knock the Rangers out in round 2. I just feel based on what I watched in round 1 that the Rangers are a better team and that if Boston or Ottawa had played anyone else in the east they would have lost in 4 or 5. Except the Caps....because the Caps don't know how to make it easy on themselves.

    The lottery system is *.

Worst three teams all drop out of the top 3.

Yea, Idk what happened there. One of the craziest lotteries I can remember. Odd to see NJ with the first pick. Good thing for the teams that fell out of the top 3 is that this is a relatively weak draft, so they won't be missing out on a "can't miss" prospect. Nico Hirschier is my #1 overall, although most have Nolan Patrick at the top spot. Guy's already got the injury bug so I've never seen him play, I wouldn't go with him.

Pittsburgh up 3-1 heading into the third, looking good to take a 2-0 lead on the road.

There's a lot of guys who have great potential but could equally amount to nothing.

Cale Makar for example. He has crazy offensive awareness but he could be a total bust. Just one of those players that you're not really sure about. Liljegren's stock dropped massively over the course of the season as well.

    I think it goes:

    1) Patrick
    2) Hischier
    3) Heiskanen
    4) Vilardi
    5 - 30) Crapshoot

It has been a crazy game. Hopefully we can pull off the victory and that fifth goal was not a goal........

Debatable. I would say it was offside, but... don't think that video proves 100% it was offside. Either way, the NHL needs to scrap the offside review altogether. An abomination to the game imo. Enjoy the rest of the 3rd...

Pens fighting back but Caps on the verge of a 2-1 win to get the series back to 2-1.
