    Mentioned it in the non media thread but his injury history worries me. At 29 though if he was deemed fit hed be a great signing.

    It's actually quite realistic tbh. His stock has fallen big time.

    If the likes of him and Caulker proved their worth what a couple signings those could be for less than £5m or so. As ever and as Tim said above, If guys like that didn't have problems we'd not even be mentioned in the same breath.

    Question is if we want to take the risk

    Through injury more than anything. Injury took away his chance at getting back into the team during the summer.

    He had his flaws without doubt. But he showed quality in his first 12 months that if he had shown again when he had the chance it might have been different instead of getting injured again straight away.

    *, top defender by all accounts. With guys like Jozo, Lustig, Rogic, and even our strikers in our ranks... do we want to risk another constantly injured player coming into the squad?

    For the right price, I think it'd absolutely be worth a shot. He's 29, perfect age for a solid CB for the next 3-4 season if healthy. We don't need super young or super old to find the right buy, an experienced and quality defender in his late 20's is exactly what this team is screaming out for. Interested to see if this is legit or not.
