    Evening troops.

    Does anyone have Netflix and does anyone use a vpn to watch the US version? If so, can someone shed some light on how to do it ? Will be much appreciated!!

    Hola is a state, used it years ago then dumped it after I read up on it a bit, when you link up to it as a free user they sell your bandwidth off to stream through your IP address, you have no idea what dodgy * is being looked at by other people and attached to you as the end point.

    They were called on it and admitted it straight out, said they'd tighten up the security, but it still functions the same way, you're opening up your IP address and bandwidth to be sold off to anyone else on their network, it's how they make their money, you have no idea what your IP is being used for, yeah it could just be some guy harmlessly looking at another countrys netflix library, or all sorts of *. It's been used in ddos attacks to bring down websites, and * as sinister as distributing child *.

    Yeah ok, the chances of something bad like that coming back on you are pretty slim, but I can't recommend a service run like that.

    I'm not that clued up on this kinda stuff but i too used it in the past for the American Netflix. It worked a treat (a couple of years ago) but after a few days and reading up on it i ditched it. There were, for me, too many negative reviews and none of them slated it's functionality...it was with regards to what @horseshoe states above. Not being too IT savvy i decided to ditch it!!

    Funnily enough lads i'm just looking at throwing one on a fire stick before i throw anything at it that BT might throw a hissy over...any thoughts on ExpressVPN. I'm assuming that anything decent is gonna cost a fee??

    I used Hola on my old laptop. Even after I uninstalled it, I found it reinstalled on occasion. There are far better services out there.

    99% of the stuff on netflix is pure trash and they take stuff off it all the time. Popcorn time is free and its got all sorts on it. Works on peer sharing though so connection isn't always great.

    Be really careful with free vpns. They do stuff to your computer much worse than paying £10 a month for a good one.
    I've got express VPN (need it for living in China). You just chose the country you want to pretend to be in and you run off a server there. Netflix is getting wise to it and slowly blocking some of the more popular servers, but it's always updating itself.

    Still watch more on it than showbox/teatv/popshite etc. It's a bargain for the £7 it costs :56:
