It's not just after the defeat. People have been bottling these feelings up for months.

The vast majority of the celtic support were not happy with his appointment

Lennon is the right choice for Celtic. Yes he made some mad decisions but when you have a penny pinching board not supporting him, I'm not surprised he's making some weird decisions.

All of this is the boards fault in my opinion. 100% a case of not supporting the manager. Our scouting network is a disgrace and that's down to the board. If we can identify players on this site who would be a step up from what we have(and actually not cost the earth) I can't see why they can't.

    Comper
    Hendry
    Musonda
    Bayo
    Elhamed
    Boli
    Jilliuen
    Connell
    Toljan
    Burke
    Shved

Here's a novel idea, save all the cash wasted on these people including wages and buy 2 real quality players and pay them more.

That’s what I’ve said about September, wait till then after the EL play offs and the zombie game.

But massive question marks have been placed after that shambles.

Good read, I get what you are saying but if that outcome happens and we are knocked out and the zombie do beat us then people will turn on Lennon fully and the board.

I’ve got to be honest keeping the faith will be very hard to do if that happens.

The warning signs have been there for a year or so regarding our regression and the other night made it very clear to the people who though everything is still all rosey.

I think a lot of people where shocked at Lennon’s starting line up, tactics and subs during the game and the lack of urgency to change it up.

I think the next few weeks are massive regarding recruitment (that’s if we do sign anyone) and vital games.

Maybe we all need to revisit this issues come the 3rd of September.

It was a massive tactical mistake, and I can't see him making it again.

But it does have to be said, before tuesday night Lenny's team have had a practically flawless start to the season.

Think you are being unfair in the new guys ffs!

    Bayo has been injured.
Shved scores a cracker and Lennon drops him
    Connell is a development player
    Elhamed has looked solid
    Jullien has started 2 games.
Bolingoli-Mbombo jury is out but again not even played a dozen games for us!

So Lennon playing our best midfielder at left back wasn’t a * up?

Leaving 10 million worth of talent on the bench, one a natural left back compared to our best midfielder?

Not changing his tactics and formation when it was clear to see it wasn’t working?

Bringing on Morgan instead of changing the shape and formation to hold and keep the lead?

Waiting to long to make further attacking subs?

I think you need to take the Lennon tinted specs off pal.

Two good wins, can’t argue with that but shipping 4 goals to that mob at home for me has taken the shine of any good start we have made.

That result has caused massive damage already to our season and we have barely started yet.

And what I mean with damage is, future transfers now we are out, players possibly wanting to leave and the unrest with the support.

It was a fucken disaster on tuesday it shouldn't have happened and the blame lies firmly with Lenny, I'll give you that.

But lets be realistic here, we were always living on borrowed time as far as the CL is concerned.

We should have beat them, they where worse than AEK last season. We have the best route possible for the champions league but our board doesn’t get the quality that’s needed in time for these games.

We had enough to beat them but we both agree Lennon * it.

Lennon * it on the night and the board have * it over the summer, Lenny clearly didn’t trust our big money signings in a massive game. Are they his signings or you know who’s?

    Lennon's european record:

1st season: Knocked out by Braga 4-2. Knocked out by Utrecht 4-2. (embarrassing)

2nd season: Knocked out by Sion 3-1 only to be saved by ineligible player and finished with 1 win out of 6 in europa group stage. (Very underwhelming)

3rd season: Incredible achievement to beat Barca and do double over Spartak for last 16. (Outstanding)

4th season: Lost to Karagandy 2-0 before reaching group stages and finishing rock bottom 5 points behind 3rd place Ajax. (*)

This season: Knocked out with 4-3 defeat at home to Cluj. (*)

I can't give enough credit to lennon and the team for the barca season. However, overall, I think that record over 5 years is awful for a club like Celtic and includes horror results against the likes of utrecht (4-0), Karagandy (2-0), Sion (3-1), Braga (3-0) and now Cluj (4-3). Some maulings there.

It all points to Lennon not having a scooby-do at what to do in europe

    Drivel.

He’s been supported this summer by getting two defenders for £10m. He decided not to start them.

One of those was a £3m left back. Lennon decided McGregor, our best midfielder, would be better there - because “it’s better to have more technicians in the team”. * laughable logic from an experienced manager.

It’s embarrassing the lengths people go to to absolve Lennon of blame. It really is.

And he’s not the right choice. He never was. He’s the easy and cheap choice and the board knew they could get away with it because the amount of mugs in our support who worship the ground Lennon stands on.

My point is that we are not replacing quality with quality. Which of these players has been replaced:

    Tierney
    Lustig
    Boyata
    Armstrong
    Roberts
    Dembele

Ok, all we can do is put Tuesday behind us and move on..

We need to back Lenny and so do the board.. let’s see what happens...

What we need a LB, RB DM CB and GK... (unlikely I know, would settle LB, RB, DM)

    GK
    RB Jullien Ajer LB
    DM McGregor
    Forrest Christie Johnston
    Edouard

    Bain
    Elhamed Simunovic CB Bolingoli-Mbombo
    Brown Ntcham
    Shved Rogic Sinclair
    Griffiths
    Gordon
    Bitton
    Hayes
    Bayo
    Morgan
    Henderson
    Arzani
    Dembele
    Eboué
    Connell

We don’t need major surgery, but with the correct additions we are still very strong.
