I see with paddy power arlene foster is 4/9 and michelle o'neill is 13/2 to get first minister.. would any of you consider o'neill a good bet there?
Surely the unionist vote will be split the DUP bound to lose a fair few seats

Because the statelet is gerrymandered, there are more unionists than republicans in the six counties.

That is ultimately how elections are decided here.

All parties are going to lose seats in this election as the number of seats at Stormont is being reduced from 108 to 90.

In proportion to the seats now available, the DUP will probably break even. I can't see them losing too much from this scandal.

I know this is hardly a reliable method of deduction but under every article on social media about politics here ive barely seen a word of support for them which makes me think theyll lose more than everyone anticipates

The DUP's support base is typically conservative, rural and old. Those demographics are usually not well represented on social media.

Your average Orange Order bigot is unlikely to be put off voting for the DUP simply because they've botched up a renewable energy scheme, for them, all that matters is that the Fenians be kept out, so they vote accordingly.
