Chelsea have a lot of good young players, we should start getting some, especially as Rodgers has connections with them. Omeruo, Christensen, Ake, Chalobah, Baker, Loftus-Cheek, Van Ginkel, Abraham, Solanke, Bamford and allsorts a * could have been good players for us over the past few years, they are easily the top producers(or signers) of a good standard of player in England.

 

This one's definitely not worth it to sell now. Personally think he'll be sold January of next year, but as of now I think he's more than happy with Celtic and will be a big part of our UCL campaign.

Even if £40 million would be a good price, no way we'd get a suitable replacement in. If Griff gets injured, we'd be *.

 

What if we are in Europe after January. Surely we'd try to keep him til the summer.

And a couple of their players included for free, Omeruo and Baker they have no chance of playing for Chelsea anyway and would be good for us.

 

Debatable I think. No doubt if we kept him we'd be better off, but at what point do you accept that both him and the club will get an offer too good to pass up? In that case, you also have the means of finding a replacement of quality and/or promise. Tough to make that call now, but I don't think we should be hinging our European aspirations on one player, no matter how talented he is.

Tell you what, as much as we don't need to sell and as much as I love the big man, £40 million is * insane. If they offer around that sum we should ask for Solanke on loan or permanently as part of the deal.

Or keep him on loan until the summer.

If they genuinely want him and would pay £40million i'd push him down from Glasgow in a wheelchair would be mental to get that kind of money and automatically bump the price up of all our other players and future signings.

 

dembeles a good young player with plenty of potential, but I really don't think he's worth 40 million.
If lawell gets offered 20-25 million I recon he will be off.

Let's be honest, Celtic couldn't afford to turn that kind of money down.

A £39,500,000 profit from one player in the space of 6 months? Incredible.

 

I would take the cash for him. I don't think it's a hard decision
