Yeh it’s hard to see him as a top 3 (or maybe even the top) striker in the world.

But he could play at that level.

There's very little ex-Celtic players I actually care about when they leave, Moussa isn't one of them.

I couldn't care less where he ends up, so long as it's to the highest bidder so we receive the biggest sell-on fee possible.

Aye but Mbappe looks like original Ronaldo reincarnated though. * mental.

He stays fit, he’s up there with Messi and Ronaldo at the end of his career though. Witnessing the birth of a true great in Mbappe I think.

Even if he has another mega bucks transfer, the 10 percent sell on fee will just get pocketed by the board.

Just like the Van Dyk money. It'll disappear into thin air

Thin air? It's all in the accounts. Majority of it is sitting in the bank and hasn't disappeared. Will they spend it? No but it's no disappeared.

Fair play, it hasnt disappeared. But its no use to us if the board wont re-invest it in the team.

Still feel gutted we lost him, especially the way it happened.
It really drained a lot of the enthusiasm I had for this season, still haven't got over it.
Haven't felt like this since Larsson left.

Totally get that. Everyone keeps waiting for Edouard to all of a sudden turn into the next Dembelle but its no going to happen. He's no quite the same player. There was a period there last season when Dembelle was on fire for us and on fire for France under 21s, think he destroyed England in one of the games. At that point he looked like he was going to be a true world beater.

I wasnt happy with the way it happened either. The only thing I can say for our board on the matter is, when you get offered a profit margin that big....it would be madness to turn it down to be fair. But still was * off with the way he left us

He's good, but Messi and Ronaldo at the same age were already on a different level, imo. I do think he's a future Ballon d'or winner, though.

Messi was as he’s the GOAT but wouldn’t say Ronaldo was.

‘At the age of 20 years and one months, Mbappe has already scored 14 Champions League goals.

That’s 12 more than Lionel Messi had netted at the same age, and 14 more than Ronaldo, who hadn’t registered a single goal in Europe’s premier cup competition by this point.’

Agree, Ronaldo never really came good until he was about 21. From 18-21 he was skillful and tricky but skinny, weak and a diver and show pony. From 21-24 he is when he first started to look top drawer and was exciting to watch and probably at his peak as a creative player/winger then he became the goalscoring machine we know of him since then but really abandoned his wing play and creativity by that point.

Messi, Mbappe and Brazilian Ronaldo are probably the only 3 players who were world class as teenagers in recent decades.

I see what you're saying, but Mbappe has more appearances in the competition by that age, and both Messi and Ronaldo started out as wingers, while Mbappe is much more of a natural striker, therefore he's had more opportunities and would naturally get more chances to score more goals.

Messi and Ronaldo's role within the team at those ages would have been more focused on creating chances for others.

Mbappe mostly has played on the right though - he's arguably a better winger than Ronaldo ever was. He also does get a lot of assists probably even more than Messi or Ronaldo got when they were young.

For me Rooney wasn't even world class at his best he was a level below, he was very good as a teenager maybe similar to De Ligt now where he was in the top 15/20 or so of his position but actual world class like was he as good as Kaka, Totti, Del Piero when he was 19? no.
