It's hard no to feel for him of course, even though some of this is his own doing and culpable..

Of course I feel for him. It's hard seeing a guy struggling like this and the backstabbing going on from all around..

Even though he's said and done some thing's recently that I've/we've majorly questioned, he still commands respect because he's a top coach and been so successful..

Makes me want to back him even more than I already do..

We all knew he was a * when he started the dembelition pish, and then was tweeting "big news coming" and pictures of him in airports in the middle of transfer windows when he was getting linked away. It's only ever been about moussa dembele for him, but no one is bigger than the club

£18m in the bank on a £400k investment not bad.

2 hours 40 minutes to get a third striker in!

he hasn't helped himself with regards to a couple of comments, no doubt, but he's also had * all help from quarters he thought he rely on imo. Far bigger culprits should be carrying the can for this *-up of a summer other than him!!!

Absolute shambles. Going into the season with 2 strikers isn’t enough.

    Board is a * mess.

If Dembele goes and we don't bring in a quality striker then the board will be held responsible. Dembele was always going to go in this transfer window but the board have been inept at handling it. We knew as soon as the English window shut there would be bids, no EPL money to compete with so makes sense for others to come in for him. But we should have had targets lined up and prob got someone in weeks ago. No club is going to let a quality striker go now. This transfer window has been one cluster * after another. Wont be long now before Brendan walks, he looked like he had got some of his mojo back last night but this episode with Dembele after Boyata will push him closer to the door. If we start struggling then he will walk sooner, not wanting to tarnish any reputation by losing the league to Gerrard. Anybody who thinks we wont struggle if we don't bring in anybody needs to take the blinkers off. We really are thin on quality through the squad.

Protect the training environment and now refusing to come back for 4mths on a loan?

Do you think Broony or KT were threatening to knock his head off and he’s now scared to come back.

There’s obviously a lot of tension and I can’t imagine the rest of the players being best pleased with Dembeles attitude and behaviour.

CELTIC tonight can confirm that the club has accepted an offer from Lyon for the transfer of striker Moussa Dembele.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said: “Every decision we make at Celtic will always be in the best interests of the Club and our supporters.

“It is vital to make clear that we have never promised any player that he can leave the Club at a particular time. It has never happened. In fact, we have said all along that we did not wish to sell Moussa, given the circumstances within the transfer window and that is why we rejected a significant offer yesterday.

“However, this particular decision to accept this offer has been taken in order to serve the best interests of the first-team squad, my coaching team and the culture and environment we have created in these last two seasons.

“The Board and myself are united and they have been very supportive to me on this issue.

“Our real focus now turns to Sunday's match and beyond, working with our players here who are committed to doing all they can to ensure another successful season for the Club.

“Finally, I would like to thank Moussa for his contribution in our last two seasons and want to wish him well in his new adventure at Lyon.”
