It just wasnt direct enough at times and teams were sitting in, particularly at home and so the onus was on us to break them down.

Canny be right :39: can it ?

It took us till mid October last season to score 12 goals and we have now scored 16% of our league total last season in 2 games !

The big difference this season to the last 2 seasons is we are getting the ball forward so much quicker. We are not allowing teams to get back and get organised to sit in. Most of us were calling for an end to the side ways, backwards build last season. Now it has happend we are scoring more goals. Long may it continue

The snakes first season was the best football I have seen in 20 years at Celtic park. After that, our style of play became monotomous and teams worked out how to play against us. Rodgers failed to adapt his style of play at times. Lennon looks as if he has got us playing very exciting direct football and long may it continue

That was a howler Bain let in.
Once we got going it was good.

Boli settled into the game after a shakey start too as did Morgan.

Happy enough with that but the goals were a disappointment.

I think this had a lot to do with it.
He was also able to bring in a quality of player that was unmatched in Dembele, Sinclair and even Toure. On top of that he reaped the benefit from playing Armstrong in his natural position.
I think an in form Sinclair was the difference between his first and second season in charge. He was just so lethal in his first season. Obviously they benefitted from having worked together in the past and Rodgers knew exactly how to get the best out of him.

Too many rimes we looked bereft or ran out of ideas, couldn’t break teams down, just passed the ball round.

Very pleasing after a pretty awful start. We couldn't get hold of the ball in the opening stages and we couldn't have any complaints about going 1 down. Getting back on level terms quickly was crucial and settled us down. After that it was impressive from us. Ruthless in front of goal, something we quite often aren't in my opinion. A lot of very good performers, Ajer followed by Ntcham in particular. Bit disappointed that Shved didn't get a run out, but it's been a fantastic start to the season from us.

I agree, it went from side to side with no real purpose. I feel that Christie gives us a cutting edge and a ruthlessness that is refreshing.
