Good call. I had forgotten all about him (how could I have?). And, yeah, he sure did stroll through most SPFL games in a canter.

Has to be Lubo. Even VVD you could see he was miles above our level and was * about half the time

He was great & I’m not disparaging him, but, it wasn't against the better players / sides. the others mentioned in here could do it against anyone, regularly.
If he had been nurtured here from a young age I believe he could have reached his potential, which for me would have been frightening. Or he would have had the skill kicked/ knocked, coached out of him. Delete as appropriate depending on the manager.

I've been lucky enough to see many gifted players in the flesh , but I read through the entire thread just to check that one particular name appeared ; that name was George Connolly . Also Jinky has to be mentioned .

I'm surprised by the amount of people mentioning Henrik. The OP says it is up to everyone to decide what they consider "natural ability", however I have always viewed Henrik as someone who achieved what they did due to hard work and dedication. He learnt from folk around him, took the knock backs and came back better and stronger everytime but I think that says more about his personality than his natural ability.

VVD for me. His talent for his position is greater than any forward ive seen play for us.

I think he achieved what he did because he had the natural ability and then he became what he was, one of the best players in the world, due to the hard work and dedication to make the absolute most of the abundant talent that he had.

The timing of his runs was natural, you can’t teach that, & his finishing was natural too, there were many times the ball didn't even hit the back of the net it was that gentle & controlled.

Larsson’s ability to find space in tight spaces and time headers etc was natural, you can’t teach that *.

He obviously developed it over time himself and improved. As for the question I’m not sure, good argument for McCoury though. He definitely could have played at the top if he had the dedication the likes of Larsson did.

Knowing where his teammates was either natural or call it instinct, same thing to me, but he excelled at that as well. & his arced runs, & hanging in the air for headers.

He did work his bollox off at his shortcomings which made him the complete player.

You could be right. Even at Celtic though you could see how much he progressed. The usual easy thing is to talk about him giving the ball away on his debut blah blah. However I would argue the Henrik that left Celtic was so much better than the one that joined as well and I'm not sure how much of that you can put down to natural ability rather than hard work at that age.

I wouldn't presume to talk for him but it would be interesting to hear henrik's take on it.

I think no matter how much work you put into it, if you didn’t have natural ability, you don’t reach anywhere near Henrik’s level.

Patrick Roberts is the most gifted player with a ball at his feet in open play for me.

    Nakamura as well.
