More or less what I thought last night. He did put a few decent balls into the box.

I watched frimpong out jump a 6ft something Ross county centre forward twice for a header at the weekend, he has mixed it physically and his maturity in defense has been immense for me. I'd start frimpong. But Lennon could well go with bauer

He is a decent signing on loan for me which is important for this season given the sheer volume of games we play and that with Lustig moving and Ralston just not good enough and being loaned out El Hamed being basically Lustig's replacement his signing makes sense for the season long loan. Having said that I would say now with the emergence of Frimpong there is no need to look to buy him outright so I think once the season is done he will go back to Stoke and Frimpong and El Hemed will be our right backs. Plus there is also Lee O'Connor in the wings which for me will likely see Anthony Ralston sold as I just do not see a future for him at this point given he is 21 and no where near at the level to get close to being our regular right back.

Couldn’t agree more. Don’t think he’s terrible but doesn’t offer enough and doesn’t suit our style. Frimpong has to start on Sunday.

By no means a great player but I really like him for some reason.

Defensively he looks all over the place. Rennes early on last week...He was getting caught out constantly and nowhere to be seen..

Last night even from the highlights you could see him absolutely nowhere when Forster stopped the cross with his feet and left Christie to chase it down..

    He's very basic..

    Absolute stunner of a crosser.

Pretty much dog muck at everything else.

In the Rennes game he dived in a lot and got caught out by the pace of their attack, but to be fair he's barely played and it's not an easy game to jump into.

For that one I'm pretty sure he followed his man into the box leaving Chrstie to cover the full back that crossed it.

He's not been that bad but comparing him to Frimpong and Hatem, he's levels below them. Squad player and handy to have over the long season.

He hasn't really impressed me, but I wouldn't go that far. I get the feeling he has lost confidence in himself. He left a team where he wasn't getting played to come here and, it seemed at the time, be our first choice RB, which must have given him a boost but then Elhamed nailed down that spot until his injury, and now he has been ousted by an unknown 18 year old. So instead of getting the regular game time he was probably expecting he is just getting thrown into the odd game here and there. We'd also agreed terms for a transfer at the end of the loan, which he will now realise is never going to happen as not only do we now have the other 2 I mentioned, but also O'Conner in that position. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if he is struggling with confidence/motivation at the moment.

He's not too bad but he doesn't suit us, attacking movement isn't the best and he can't carry a ball on a run. He delivers a good cross but it's useless to us so it's irrelevant, we need full-backs the style of Taylor, Boli, Elhamed and Frimpong who can run with a ball, beat men and link-up and do stuff in attack as we play creative stuff and mostly through the middle and cutting into the box.

He doesn't make the kind of runs or pass a ball quick enough or forward enough to open up space for Christie and Forrest or Edouard.

He was never coming to be first choice right back..

Mate he's so bad defensively it's untrue. Everytime a winger goes to put a ball in he's either no there or backs off. I've seen countless game's now he's hid when under a bit of pressure..

Watch the Rennes goal. Watch the Accies highlights Forster saved the cross with his foot. Watch how mental Broony went at him..

Last night the second goal wasn't a one off..

He's miles and miles behind Elhamed and Frimpong. Personally I'd have O'Connor ahead of him easily..

Aye if Elhamed isn't fit for Sunday I'd much rather see what O'Connor has to offer than stick with Bauer. Was quite hopeful when he signed but other than having a good cross and long throw on him he doesn't offer enough going forward and he doesn't seem up to it defensively.

    * if O'Connor proved to be a decent option between now and the end of the month I'd be happy enough with him going back to Stoke in Jan.
