I think he is a good player, I said a while back in this threat that FF needs to be the priority over him and it still stands.

I think the lad is a good player but rather we sort FF first then maybe sign him on a permanent.

9 million would be a serious, serious, tempter.

He’s only just turned 25, peak years ahead of him and prior to injury he was flying for us. Has already proven himself elsewhere and internationally as well.

Similar to Eddy, it really wouldn’t be a ‘gamble’ but for variables you can’t control, mainly injury.

Exactly, but surely to fk Forster won't cost anything like that.

Tbh, I wouldn't even contemplate going for him for anything over £5m.

Great goalie, but I'd rather this guy every day of the week. We can pick up a good competent goalie from even in Scotland ffs, Lewis is a good goalie and one goalie who always seems to impress is that St Mirren goalie, looks a brilliant shot stopper.

Do we have an agreed price for Forster? Think I've read that before..

If no....he's gonna be 32 which I know isn't old for a keeper but he's completely surplus there and a big wage off the book's. Can't see many side's trying to buy him despite his good form either..

Don't think he played for over a year or so really before coming to us as well..

I mean I'd hope you're right but if a fee isnt agreed I think the price will be bumped up a few mil.

The rumoured fee for FF is £4m. Emphasis on rumoured.

Unlikely then a 32 year old keeper for around 5 mill. Honestly couldn't see us doing that..

Best hope is an agreement where they want him off the book's sharpish..

    Looking about and

    4-5 for Forster
    7-9 say for Mo
    5 for Sporar
    Then a centre mid
    Centre half
    Right winger

Think we might be disappointed at the end of this month :giggle1:

No sure we'd pay that for a 32 year old keeper..

Even though it isn't a lot or old for a keeper I just can't see that. Especially as he's completely surplus and hadn't played for Southampton for a long long time..

His performance alone in the Cup Final justifies the £4M in my book.

4 million would be a complete and utter steal for Forster. He’s worth way more than that.

Without him, we would have lost cup final and not beaten those Italians two times.
4M is a steal. Could just be the difference in Champions league qualification.

4m for a 32 yr old GK of his quality would be a no brainer.

Where is that rumour stemming from?

Yes Forster is totally surplus at Southampton, but they know fine well we probably want him and they know that he was the difference for us in winning the league cup, so they'll be able to ram the price up by a couple of extra million.

So if we sign big Fraz for £4m then Southampton need to pay us £400k back?
