Worst card I can remember in a long time.

Canny believe people will have actually paid for that :giggle1:

Sure he said if he came out unscathed then he hoped to be ready to go in 2 or 3 months. Probably be on standby for if either Khabib or Ferguson pull out of their fight in April

Next fight should be Gaethje if it’s 155.

True, I only had half an eye on most of it. Holm fight was shocking and then main event lasted about 30 seconds. Nothing memorable in it except the lassie who done her knee and kept going and then the finish by McGregor.

Hopefully does harm to BT and puts any * daft enough to buy PPV not to do it again.

I'd like to see Conor have a go at Welterweight. A fight against Masvidal would be interesting. Think Usman or Woodley would have too much for him though.

He doesn't deserve another shot against Khabib though, no chance. Al Iaquinta deserves a rematch vs Khabib more than him.

Aye, to me he looked sharp and well built in this fight and he probably should stay there for now although I agree I couldn't imagine him beating Covington, Usman or Woodley they're essentially a weight class above him and have fought at this level a long time. Khabib might be able to move up and fight them as he's probably naturally closer to their size.

Diaz 3 which I don't want to see wouldn't be too bad as a next fight, he still has to be careful as he's been out a long time and not really took a punch in a long time either. He does need a wee test and to be dragged into a bit of a fight which he may get off Diaz or maybe even someone like Lawler.

Masvidal is a bit quicker than guys like them and more dangerous a striker and Usman, Woodley and Covington are big bears compared to McGregor.

If he was to beat a Diaz/Lawler and then Masvidal he should have a go at the 170 champion and if he fails then could go back down to 155.

Thing with McGregor and Khabib is when he fought him he hadn't fought in 2 year and still went on to the 4th round. If he is fighting fit and sharp he might trouble Khabib. Probably not though Khabib would likely just smother him again, the best thing for McGregor would be to stay at 170 and hope Ferguson beats Khabib and then Khabib moves up to 170 and McGregor can go down.

With Khabib and Iaquinta as well I thought a main part of that as Khabib showed him no respect and spent too much time boxing with him. It's as if Khabib knew he was too easy and used it as more of a sparring session thinking he would be fighting McGregor soon and would need to sharpen up on his movement at avoiding punches. If Khabib fought his normal fight he might have destroyed Iaquinta easily.

    Anything’s possible, I realised that after Burns/Beltran in 2013

Absolutely starched him, those shoulder strikes were brutal. Clear game plan.

    Behave!

100%, hopefully on the March card. That will be a brilliant fight, Gaethje doesn’t give a * if he gets knocked out he just goes all in.

Glad I didn’t pay for that farce. McGregor is a level above Cerrone but you could see even in the build up to this that he’s not cut out for this type of thing. Would be * if I was a Cerrone fan.

McGregor vs Gaethje is the next logical fight for him, sooner the better, but being Dana’s boy he’ll probably get Khabib.

Just came in here to say the same, the cheek of BT Sport to put it on Box Office, then again i'm sure there were plenty who got it.

Dreadful card and then a main-event that doesn't even go 3 quarters of a minute.

I’m not getting carried away it was a great performance but McGregor was always winning that fight. Would also like to see him against Gaethje next as that would be a much tougher test. If he wants to stay at 170 it will probably be against Masvidal unless Nate Diaz appears back on the scene.
