Anyone looking forward to the Artem vs Pauli fight?

It intrigues me a lot more than the Mayweather vs McGregor fiasco for sure. I could see it being a close run thing, Pauli obviously has a very large skill advantage, but will be interesting to see how the strength and youth of Artem stacks up. The lack of gloves is definitely quite an equaliser too.

Can't wait for it mate. Bare knuckle is absolutely brutal. I think Artem might get it done. This is nothing like boxing with 12oz gloves.

Can't stand Pauli the *'s wee whiney new york voice does my nut in. Lobov isn't much of a fighter but I'd like to see him give Paulie a sore face.

Never seen Paulie fight but if he’s even a half decent boxer he’ll knock * out of Artem and it won’t even be close.

He was more than decent in his prime. Held a couple of titles. Went the distance with Cotto despite shattering his jaw early on. Exceptionally tough and durable despite looking like a complete *.

Prime Pauli would make short work of it I’m sure. But this is nowhere near a man in his prime. He’s been inactive for years and even before then looked well past it. I can see Artem’s age, activity and size - along with the bare knuckle aspect - make it interesting and very competitive. I think Pauli wins though.

There’s a lot of genuine bad blood in this one. Pauli has taken cuntiness to a new level with insulting the guys mum, spitting on him, slapping etc.

Artem has arms like a T-Rex, no power and is a * fighter.

If he wins then that Paulie should never show his face again.

But he is still a fighter. Pauli isn’t, not by a long shot.

If he loses then I imagine he’ll continue to be a loudmouth * and surprisingly good commentator. If he wins we know exactly who he’s gonna call out :giggle1:

Any boxer worth their salt should be going in their and taking Artem’s head off.

No matter how past their prime Paulie is or how done he was while he was still fighting, getting beat by Artem would be an absolute embarrassment.

Yeah, and any high level active boxer does go in and take his head off.

Paulie isn’t though. He was high level at the pinnacle of his career, but even in his last fight he was stopped by a British level fighter, and has recently faced opponents who have dropped their hands to their waist and let him tee-off on them.

He’s very, very far removed from being a decent fighter of any sorts, and therein lies the biggest issue for him - does he still have any ‘fight’ in him? Because as limited as Artem may be, he definitely does. I would be very surprised if Pauli simply blasted him out in the first.

And it would absolutely be embarrassing, primarily due to all the * he’s talked in the build up to this.

I think you'd have to be mad to write off Artem in the circumstances. Nobody knows how Paulie's hands are gonna hold up.

This is far from a boxing match.. watch Lobov vs Knight. Gloves make an absolutely massive difference.

Still find it hard to think Lobov will win but the playing field has certainly been levelled quite a bit.

Bare knuckle boxing isn’t boxing, Paulie (or any other high level boxer in general terms) don’t fight in bare knuckle boxing so it’s an impossibility to make such a bold statement as any high level boxer would box the lugs off Artem.

Whatever you want to criticise Artem about (and there’s plenty) he has the heart of a warrior and won’t mind having his face caved in to cave in someone else’s. That stands for a lot in bare knuckle boxing.

I think it’s entirely accurate to say a top level boxer would decimate him, bare knuckle or otherwise. There would just be a chasm in skill, power, speed, combination punching etc. Putting him in with the likes of Crawford would be barbaric.

Paulie isn’t that though, and there’s enough variables here to make it pretty interesting. The only result that would really surprise me is Artem winning early, but I think it’s more likely that it’s a drawn out, * affair than either guy winning quickly.

Crawford has enough money and fame not to require the potential for his face to be butchered. Which is what I’m really getting at.

It’s a completely different sport altogether with a different skill set required altogether, mainly mentally.

    Lovato Jr dethrones Gegard.

Cracking fight; first 2 Lovato, next 2 Mousassi and Lovato pulled it out the bag in the 5th. His grappling is something else.
