I've smoked weed all my life, so has many of my friends past and present. None of them are on heroin.

So clearly one does not lead to the other.

 

Clearly it leads to it. Just because its not for you. Do you think every heroin addict started straight off the bat with heroin? Nope. Weed.

 

If it led to it then every dope smoker would be on heroin. They aren't ergo there is no link between them.

It's a persons life style, mental health that leads them onto hard drugs.

You think if you eradicated weed that there would be no more heroin addicts?

 

Thats like saying alchohol leads to alchoholism for everyone.

 

It's really not. Alcoholism comes from drinking alcohol.

Becoming a junkie does not come from smoking weed. It's a scare tactic and a * one at that.

Has every person who you know touched alchohol became an addict? Every peraon whos had a gamble became a gambling addict? Ofcourse not. Plenty of things out there showing it as a gateway drug.

 

You could just as easily say alcohol leads to heroin. There is as much of a link between those two as there is weed and heroin.

 

Gateway drug... Another empty hollow soundbite.

Anything for the government to keep ignoring the root cause of addiction.

 

Id rather my kid get drunk on frosty and be sick than in an enviroment where it starts as weed then try this drug and that drug. Ofcourse its not happened to you so wont ever happen to anyone.

 

It did happen to me. I tried all sorts of (recreational) drugs growing up.

I didn't lead onto them because I smoked weed though. I done them because there was * all else to do in the concrete jungle I grew up in.

 

I would say for the vast majority of folks their first drug was Ethanol.

 

Probably more of one. I’m not one of these people that is passionately pro-legalisation of cannabis, but in my experience it’s alcohol that leads to Class A drug abuse. The first time I tried Class A drugs was when drunk and any other ’first time’ trying a new Class A drug has been when drunk. Never felt the need to or desire to when stoned.

A PENSIONER was pushed to the floor by two thugs who raided his home for booze.

The 73-year-old man was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries after the robbery which happened at around 4.40pm on Thursday in Rutherglen's Richmond Court.

Police said the man was within his home when he answered his door to two men who pushed him to the floor and demanded money.

The two men then searched through the house and left a short time later with a quantity of alcohol from the house.

Cops are now hunting for the duo and have issued descriptions.

The first suspect is described as white, 20 to 25 years of age, 5ft 10 inches in height and of slim build. He has wearing a black jacket with a hood and grey jogging trousers. He also wore a black scarf around his face.

The second suspect is described as white, 20 to 25 years of age, around 5ft 5 inches in height with dark coloured hair. He was wearing grey coloured clothing.

Detective Constable Stuart Burnside, of Cambuslang Police Office, said: "To target the most vulnerable members of our community in their own homes, where they should feel safe is totally unacceptable. These two men must be caught. Officers are currently carrying out enquiries and reviewing CCTV to identify the two men responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen two men matching these descriptions, or who saw two men acting suspiciously in the local area around the time of the robbery to come forward. Anyone with information that may assist this enquiry should contact Cambuslang Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 2433 of 16th November. Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”

* like you are the reason cannabis will never be legal in Britain when countries all over the world are taking a fresh attitude towards it. So uneducated on the topic.
