A loan would still be the best option for him, in my opinion.

Even sign that Turnbull and loan him back to Motherwell and maybe 1 of ours..

He's clearly the best talent outside of us in the league. Also loaning to team's that take points off the Huns has worked well for us in the past..

Mulumbu instrumental just the other day as a prime example..

I wouldn't loan him out, I think he's too good and could be startin 20+ games next season also he's likely to come back after the summer, bigger and stronger and a level above how he is now.

I agree and I think he'd score 15 goals no bother if played in his right position.

    He's naturally a left winger, isn't he?

The ‘Summer’ is less than a month, we’ll be in Austria 3 weeks after the Cup Final at the weekend. He’s no superman!

He’s also not too good to loan out either, no one is, he needs at least 6 months of week in and week out pressure top team football.

I definitely agree with him that he'll be back a level above next season just from a purely confidence perspective alone..

I keep chopping and changing my mind on him next season..

I think he can play a big part next season but our best player this season proves that the making of you as a player and a man can be achieved by going down south, living away from home and getting first team experience in a tough league.

Our other best player this season proves staying at Celtic, learning how to be a Celtic winger at 19 years old serves your Celtic career very well.

    There’s ways and there’s ways.

If he isn’t going to get the game time he should go on loan, if we’re giving him the game time then he should stay

There's no doubt that he could benefit massively by going out on loan. But he's already got enough talent to regularly feature for us.

Out of the 3 academy mainstays of our team, only 1 needed a loan move.

Forrest was, by miles, our best Academy player and was ready for regular first team games when he was brought in. Johnston isn’t.

It’s up in the air given the managerial situation but based purely on the squad as it is, he won’t play as often as he should at what is the most critical period of his development.

    I agree with this..

But then I agree with this as well..

    It's a tough one..

Purely from a selfish point of view I rate him very highly and love seeing us blood homegrown talent..

He could be a very very handy player for us next season but then he could go somewhere and play every week smashing it..

    Genuine tough choice..
