again its funny clyde and mr shugh were saying blackman had a decent game and tired as the game went on but they felt they saw enough to say he can do a job in our squad with a run of games and lo and behold on here its like * he wasnt up to much ?? everyones entitled to their opinion BUT id like to point out that a few fans are too quick at times to judge a player and that helps nobody as far as im concerned give them all a chance and if it doesnt work out longer term fine but please dont be too quick to judge

    Agree with this.

Wanyama wasn't the best in his first few games for us in the friendlies and look what has happened with him. Even his first couple of games or so once the season started.

I didn't think he played that badly yesterday at all - just seemed more off the pace more than anything and more than likely that's due to fitness and lack of game time.

I'll judge him more at the end of the season after he's played more games for us.

I would prefer to hold on matthews as starter and cha as the backup

Have to say having seen the highlights Lustig looked caught out for the Aberdeen goal. There was a huge gap for Rae to exploit because Lustig was caught too far up the field. This happened with another chance later on as well. Hopefully we can put this down to a lack of fitness, but the early signs don't look too encouraging, so I'd rather we'd wait til the league was wrapped up before we give him some time to regain his fitness.

Don't know about horrendous BUT he definitely hasn't been the best that's for sure. He has the pace, determination and strength but he just doesn't have the technical skill required.

I think if (when) we wrap this league up with a good few games to go we can bring in Lustig more so he can get more competitive games under his belt. I just think he's only really lacking match sharpness and fitness and once he adjusts to the game he should hopefully be fine.

He hasn't got 23 caps for being * afterall :icon_mrgreen:

I think Rogne was a wee bit out of position as well because he was too close to Vernon (who Wilson had covered anyway) and that left room for Rae to get the shot away. If Rogne hadn't come over to close Vernon down Rae wouldn't have had all that room.

Lustig being too far upfield at the time was very much like Izzy being too far upfield for the Falkirk goal when we played them in the League Cup semi and we all put that pretty much down to him still getting back to full fitness and match sharpness. For me it's just the same with Lustig and once he gets that area up to scratch I think he should be a good signing for us like I say.

He is looking better in this game so far. Looks like he can pick someone out better than Cha and Ki should have scored.

He's pretty solid at defending...his game lets him down when he goes forward, as his accuracy with passing/crossing is poor.

I think you can see talent in there, certainly looks like he has ability, just looks a bit jaded. Must remember he has already done one full season with Rosenborg and not much of a break before back into intensive training with Celtic.

I am looking forward to seeing him next season.

Bringing a guy in from the cold and expecting him to be a world beater is stupid. He is a good player he just needs half a dozen games to show it.

There are far more pressing concerns than Lustig.
