While he dons the hoops, and because of the career he's had with us while doing so I think I speak for everybody when I say he'll always be loved

Problem is, him playing week in week out no longer works. His legs have totally left him, the guy looks petrified on the ball when he has it over the halfway line, and alot of the time his safest bet is taking 2 touches then passing the ball back/sideways, killing our momentum.

Wear and tear comes to every player, and I can accept Lustig having to adapt his game to accommodate for the fact as he's aged he's declined.. But when it starts disrupting our attacking moves and making us easy to get at down that right hand side, action needs taken.

Here, Izzy’s tackling tonight was * exceptional, best I’ve seen from him in a Celtic strip.

I wonder if a lot of that might not be down to Bain. There's not those great big spaces behind them anymore.

Played well tonight, hopefully more of the same at the weekend!

I don’t think there’s any doubt that he can still cut it domestically, at home especially.

Thought he did well, some very good deliveries into the box.

For the most part he’s been good this season. That period he was captain he was excellent.

He still needs replaced, he’s still our weak point but people go overboard.

Pretty sure he has 6, technically our 2nd against Hamilton doesn't count as an assist, but fair play- although saying 'he has been good for most of the season' is so far of an over-reaction to playing 3 * teams in a row (and the same with Bain even though I do think he is better than Gordon).

It’s great to see him playing well but I don’t think that people go overboard at all.

He’s been at fault for a ridiculous amount of goals in big games over the past 2 years, so much so that he wouldn’t be considered for selection at any other big club.

Any winger with pace and movement gives him huge problems and that’s even at domestic level. We concede so many goals particularly in Europe down that side that it can’t be coincidence.

Worryingly, I agree that he’s still our best option, which sums our board up more than anything.

I agree with everything you’re saying except that people don’t go overboard. Some people get right hysterical about it. He needs replaced, he is a weak link, when he’s up against better opposition than in the SPFL it’s quite terrifying.

Still think * go overboard on him though.

My only issue with him is he is very one footed, when the option to pass into midfield with the left he can’t do it and will try to get onto his right or pass back.
