    This 100%.

Would add to that as well his lack of a left foot is a big weakness, and the team lacks balance when you compare him to Tierney on the other side who has the legs and pace to get up and down. We need to same at RB, especially in Europe.

Forget generalisations, was Lustig a weak link on Sunday?

If i was scouting the game. Yes. The odd time they went down that wing he looked like an old man as they breezed by. He hit his own bar. Got a yellow for his own * up.

Then watching boyatta. Looked alot better. Passing looks * and unnatural but he was attacking the long balls and winning them all.

Honestly thought Lustig was class on Sunday.

His ball for Rogic’s goal was top drawer.

He didn't have much to do defensively and he did play a great pass for the opening goal, but even with little to do he still got a stupid yellow after a dreadful touch that could have let them through, and he almost scored an own goal from a terrible attempted clearance.

In general he played well but even then his faults were still there to see.

His touch that led to the yellow card was a carbon copy of the touch against Aberdeen that led to his second yellow.

His booking that he got on Sunday, was a carbon copy to the one that got him sent off against aberdeen-trying to drag the ball and completely missing it and the having to foul to recover.

I love the man, but he’s done, which is sad to say

The ball down the wing originally. Was a belter.

I know, soon as I posted that I realised it must’ve been an earlier pass. Don’t remember it tbh.
He is usually a good passer, Lustig,

Thought he absolutely strolled it even with the early yellow.

I honestly cannot believe someone is defending him after this game. He had zero pressure when compared to a normal game just cause the scum were so poor.

Few of these things have already been posted but once again:
-Gave away the ball with this hilarious touch which wasn't the first time this season.
-He almost scored an own goal which was totally avoidable.
-He was so easily passed by Morelos when racing towards the ball on the wing. His legs are gone.
-Cleared a header for a corner without anyone even remotely close to him.

He was and is the weak link in this team. Some say he played well but that's just because he had nothing to do all game when compared to previous games this season.

I feel like this thread next season will be like looking back at Broony’s during Ronny’s final season

I hope that you're right but I've a feeling it's wishful thinking. When we talk about Lustig sentimentality often gets in the way. Yes he's a great personality, acts the clown and has the obligatory wee dig at sevco now and again.......... that helps to keep the fans onside but the team needs more and his game merits closer scrutiny. I'm not dissing the guy and I fully appreciate his past contribution but good teams will not give him time on the ball. He practically turns full circle, and not very quickly I might add, to get the ball on his best foot. He's lost his pace and seems easily caught out. I will always love him in much the same way I loved Sammy......they both have heart.

Possibly, depends on how his World Cup goes as he'll be straight back into qualifiers with us afterwards.

He'll always struggle against wingers with a lot of pace though, that much is clear.
