    Chelsea are interested in Celtic's teenage attacker Michael Johnston.

    The 18-year-old has earned rave reviews for the Scottish club's academy this season.

    And his performances have attracted admiring glances from top clubs south of the border, with Chelsea among the sides tracking the youngster.

    Johnston put in an impressive performance to help the Hoops' Under 20s secure a Scottish Youth Cup triumph over arch rivals Rangers last month.

    The highly-rated youngster is yet to make a first-team appearance but his display in that 3-0 victory would have undoubtedly impressed the watching Brendan Rodgers.

    Stoke and Derby are also making regular checks on Johnston, who has just one year left on his current deal.

    Seems a little concerning that we have an already 18 y/o talent, attracting the likes of Chelsea (if to be believed), who hasn't had a sniff of first team action and is fast approaching the end of his contract.
