It is, but not sure why that would be a bad thing! As long as they’re not doing a Polish Mass, I’m happy! (I had the misfortune of spending 2 and a half hours at the church at Easter as a Polish Mass was read.)

    More gays the merrier :brendy:

How do you know they are tourists ? Do you have a secret handshake ?

Theres none at my local, and one of the priests sings everything ( even the notices).

Way too much singing by the priest going on during Mass these days. I dont know why this is. Singing the Lords Prayer etc doesnt make you more holy. I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Mass. I didnt like when they changed all the responses a few years back and I still want to say the old ones. Cannae beat the good old hymns though....."Be Thou My Vision" is a cracker.....always remember belting that out during the Pope's Visit in 2010. "Close to You" is also a belter....a bit sad and a bit funeraly but proper good old Catholicism at its best.

Back to the priests singing all the Mass....this is not on. I'd still have the Latin Vulgate if it was up to me........but that would be an Ecumenical Matter.........

I thought that was a 70s pop song that had been misappropriated by the Church.

No no, thats quality Catholicism right there. You get a proper "thank * I'm a Catholic...." feeling when we're singing that one.

On another note.....midnight Mass at my local is still called midnight Mass but is now at 7pm and you need to be there at like 6.15pm to get a seat on Christmas Eve, cause our new priest is top notch. Quality thought out sermons....none of your mumbling pish. Really good alter work....ooozes class. Maintains Eye Contact when handing out Communion. He's heading for a proper big parish this fella. Perhaps New York, or Miami.

i'm with you there mate,(apart from the cactus and the eyes bit) i always feel like a bit of a hypocrit when i'm at a funeral or a wedding mass as my heart just isn't in it and i'm only there because i think i have to be.
