My tin foil hat suspicion is that Lennon is towing the board line to media but behind the scenes he is making it known he wants his own winger and his own striker. He has said numerous occasions about wanting another winger/striker. He doesn't need another winger or another striker unless he has actually zero interest in playing bayo Sinclair and shved. He put shved or bayo in yesterday and they tore it up the board would be telling him to get lost. To all our frustration bayo shved Sinclair are being treated unfairly

No, not at all. But I don't think eduoard or Forrest should be playing league cup in August crammed between two massive euro games.

I’d agree with that.

We shouldn’t need to be at full strength to beat Dunfermline at home with bigger fish to fry midweek.

It should be seen as a game to rest Eddie, Ajer, Jamesy, McGregor and get minutes in the legs of guys like Griff, Bayo, Hendo, Shved, Jullien, Eboue etc.

I’m glad Broony was finally rested though.

I think the more time we get Lenny’s first choice team out, the quicker we’ll fully adapt to his style. Interrupting that just now is needless, later on in the season, I’d fully agree but.

 

We’ll adapt to his style once he stops chopping and changing formation imo.

The last 2 team sheets we’ve all been trying to figure out what formation we’re actually playing in the match thread. Apparently it was a 3412 yesterday.

I think our squad is best suited to a 4231 and our best results this season have come whilst playing that so not sure what the reason for the change was yesterday.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

 

i think the 2 full backs weve signed, one doesnt seem to be a defender at all wing back if being generous, the other is a center back that can play right back

i dont know if neil was thinking for this season he wants to be able to play a 3 at the back formation it makes sense that someone has been thinking that with them 2 signings is the peter signing the players and forcing the manager to play a certain system

That’s my worry. Lennons over reliance on the same players week in week out. Yes we need to get a settled team for the important games coming up but over the course of the season it’s a squad game.

He froze out the Loan players last season and read on here that he done the same at Hibs.

 

100% agree with that, stop fannying about with formation and personnel until we’ve gelled.

Lennon’s style is to be able to fluidly change formation, but the players need to be a well oiled machine by that point.

Shved has a reputation as the best young player in Ukraine...I don’t understand why he’s not getting in the squad

 

I understand what people are saying to an extent about letting him settle in but surely the best way to do that is to have him on the bench and give him 10 or 20 mins.

Wouldn’t imagine he lacks confidence either going by the season he just had.

I’m desperate to see him get a run in the team.

 

How he is not getting any game time ahead of Morgan is * criminal.

 

Because he’s a 20 year old adapting to a new style/country and picked up a wee injury pre-season. He’ll come into it, he has the talent but it doesn’t mean that he’s quite there yet.

Looks like he pishes over Morgan attacking wise from the little we’ve seen so far, but Morgan’s looked one of they players who’s positionally been very good so far and helps with picking up the 2nd ball and keeping the shape very well.

If he doesn’t step up attacking wise he’ll fall by the wayside soon.

You can't teach that quality and calmness at a higher level. Morgan doesn't have it..
