It's about time we had a thread to discuss all things MCU related. The franchise is huge and is going to get even bigger soon with the news that Spider-Man will be introduced in an upcoming film before having his own film in 2017.

So who all watches these films and if so, who's your favourite, least favourite etc etc.

Thor and Iron-Man have been the best. Good mix of action and comedy. Blade as well but not really a superhero.

Not too keen on the new Spiderman though, Tobey McGuire was better.

    Ant-man looks terrible.

I'm gutted Andrew Garfield won't be Spider-man again as I thought he was a good fit and much better than Toby MaGuire, can't be arsed with another reboot although I know it will be good as it will be Marvel, not Sony, this time

Spiderman, although a Marvel comic book creation, is not (yet?) part of the MCU.

Personally, my favourite film so far is Guardians of the Galaxy. Thought it had everything you could want and more.

Iron Man is starting to wear thin, I love RDJ but I'm glad there isn't a 4th film planned. In terms of a single superhero in the MCU, Thor is my favourite. Can't wait for Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and Black Panther.

Interested to see who the new Spider-Man will be. Logan Lerman would be good.

Guardians of the Galaxy was * excellent.

Thor or Tony Stark has to be the best though. Loki's been the best villian so far.

Agree with pretty much everything said by you all.

Thor is my favourite, quite like Captain America too. He has grown on me. Like them all pretty much.

Guardians of the Galaxy was my favourite, mainly because it was the one I was expecting the least from, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Although they're still okay, the Captain America movies are no way near as good as the Ironman & Thor films.

I pretty much like or love every single Marvel movie that came out in the past 10-15 years.

However I'm no a big fan of reboots, especially Spiderman. No need telling pretty much the same story all over again with different actors.

Favourite thus far is Guardians/Iron man 1/ Winter Solider

    Best character- Cap/Thor

Worst character - Hawkeye, not that I dislike him he's just average compared to the others

Most looking forward to- Infinity Gauntlet! Every single marvel movie in this universe has been leading up to the big fight with Thanos and I thought he looked great in Guardians, made Ronan * his pants! Civil War will be incredible as well :smiley-laughing002:

I like Captain America and enjoyed Thor...Avengers too.

I'm not even that into superheroes but they are good for a bit of entertainment.

Guardians of the Galaxy was epic, Avengers was also solid. Having said that most of them are.

Can't see that happening. they already made the mistake of adding too many characters in the one movie without any backstory ... Wonderwoman, Lex Luthor, aquaman, cyborg, flash (apparently) and doomsday. I hope I'm wrong but it already seems way too much for one film and not enough character development

They'll know what they're doing though. I think they were wise not to copy Marvel, hopefully it works out.

I think it would be a good idea for DC to head down a grittier route. It suits their characters and will make Marvel look even more childish, although they will almost certainly make less money as a consequence.

Based on their last few films it's been really hit and miss. Green Lantern was the worst hour and a half I've ever sat through and I wasn't too fussed on Man of Steel ... that being said I thought the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy was amazing so if they take that approach to the film then it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Also thought Jared Leto as the Joker is a really bold but good choice, can't wait to see what Suicide Squad looks like. Personally I can't see DC overtaking Marvel until after 2020 when the Infinity Gauntlet is finished and they might have to start from scratch.
