I think on their website they've got 4 players from the academy listed in the first team but none are regulars, the player with the best chance is probably chalobah... Unless others are back from.loan that haven't been added

He's a good player. Two footed, energetic, strong and elegant. Don't think he is better than Armstrong though.

    Hm I dunno about that.

Certainly a close one and he is 3 years younger...and if Rodgers got ahold of him..

I mean who would have thought a year ago we'd even be comparing him with Armstrong..pretty mental:56:

That it? Point is if you are a young player what's the point in signing for them , you have nearly zero chance of making the first team, they just sign players from Europe on form for millions..

Lets be honest. How hard would it be to break into the Chelsea first team, considering they go out and spend £20-£40m or whatever on players. They don't really do the development thing, they just buy guys in there prime.

Thats it, whats the point in signing for them, surely if you are serious bout your career youd go somewhere with a chance of playing and then get a big move...the way they * down there spend Skys money its pointless being a youngster at a club like chelsea

I think it's fairly well accepted that clubs like Chelsea have academies to satisfy any "home grown" quotas that arise - and that they run the academies on a business plan that relies on loaning out and selling them for 4/5£m. If they find the odd gem - bonus. Masuonda is good but not the finished article as far as Chelsea are concerned, his brother might want him to say and come out with a media trained respose " concentrating on playing for my club and next game blah blah" but Masounda will never hold down place for them - unless he comes back to them after staring for another club (this heaven happened to Pogba who everyone at Man U thought was the real deal)

Someone posted a starting XI of the players they have out on loan and it would probably finish mid-table in the EPL or at the very least avoid relegation with a bit to spare. Can't mind where I saw it.

Would Croats, Bulgarian etc.. be considered home grown if they are at a club from a certain age? I get why English players would sign but not if you're a young European, sign and sit in the reserves for years when you could be playing first team football in Europe in big games. Anyway * Chelsea and the rest of the sky funded * ha

That's why they get them so young. It's like child slave trafficking. Sucking the talent out of the game and leaving them to rot. Boils my * how many talented players hoarded by EPL clubs. Mind, Huddersfield used a few this year to get into the EPL then signed Mooy permanently once they reached the EPL (he could have been Scott Browns replacement).

I see what you mean, Pasalić has played for some big clubs. But he definitely doesn't carry the same goal threat Stu does from midfield.

What an absolute load of * :56::56::56::56::56:

The wee * are on thousands of pounds a week to either sit in an academy, or go out on loan to other clubs to develop.

Hardly equatable to some wee Indonesian lad being kindnapped and then sold to the highest bidding peadophile....
