I reluctantly declined Mafia Doctor because I knew that I would have been under scrutiny from the outset if I had discarded a lesser town role than Town Cop.

I agree that @obafgkmlt is too experienced to make that mistake, so he may simply have been dealt a bittersweet hand.

I still have my reservations though: there are few town roles, if any, more valuable than Town Cop, and the probability that he was offered one of them is low in my estimation. He could be making a bold play.

That said, we can afford to wait until Day Two to make a decision.

It didn’t say but I assumed it could be used any night. Had it have been more than one commute I may have considered that role

Ubba is a major character, so I would expect him to be in the game, and someone to counterclaim if you are lying.

There is definitely no need to risk a lynch today, unless someone does.

I think that you have misunderstood my post.

I had two options: Mafia Doctor or a less enjoyable town role. I opted for the latter because I would have been under scrutiny from the outset if I had discarded it, and my role is much less valuable than Town Cop.

@obafgkmlt must have had a very good reason to take that risk if I chose to avoid it, despite being offered a lesser role.

 

Curious, what roles do people consider better than cop, if any?

 

Possibly doctor in a standard game, bloodhound in multifaction.. That's it

I can’t think of any Town role I’d decline it for.

 

no idea oba , I had the pick of the discards last game ( rotten selection ) took night vig and got slaughtered for it , make it worse the person I vigged was a serial killer but the host gave him a bullet proof that night for an error he made …. town would have won from there .

I think Jailkeeper is more powerful than Doctor as it protects and blocks..

 

looking at the discards again , with only town and mafia mentioned would that be a straight town v mafia game or will there be other factions possibly ?

 

Watcher and tracker are strong roles. Watcher over cop for me

 

Probably a SK or two knowing V.. but aye 16 players probably Town v Mafia.. no sure if the show warrants other factions?

 

Not lynching doesn’t help town at all though does it?
