Always loved ronaldinho, been my favourite player for years, until messi came along. He was fantastic to watch at his peak, the things he could do with a ball were incredible. But everything considered messi is far better, has a wider range of talent, scores a crazy amount of goals and works well in a team.

    He's a glitch in a game.

Even Ronaldinho says that Messi is the best. I will take his word for it.:bbpd:

As for not liking him 'one but' may I ask why? If he played for if he was playing for Madrid you would be worshipping him no doubt.

he just wasnt, messi can even beat players easier than ronaldinho ever could, because he doesnt use stupid tricks that dont work half the time, he scores more than roanldinho ever did, assissts more than Ronaldinho did, Ronaldinho was great and fantastic to watch, but isnt a good as messi, never was

    Really?

Maradona had an excellent club career, especially at Napoli. Despite strong competition from Milan, Juve and Inter they done the impossible and consistently competed with them for years. He was one of their most important players, I dare to say he carried that team. With him they won Serie A titles and even won UEFA Cup.

Was great in Argentina as well, although he could've been even better (if that's even possible) if there wasn't for cocaine.

Pele - he played in Santos team that dominated domestic and continental football in 60s in which was one of the best leagues in the world in that period. He could've easily played for any team in the world back then. He had amazing career at Santos, it's just that people seem to be sceptical about it because he didn't play in Europe. Pele would've probably scored like in training if he was in a good European team.

Messi still has to prove himself at World Cup to be considered the best ever.

Pishing myself laughing yet again at a comment from peaky95 regarding Barca! Best player in the world at the minute by a country mile, will undoubtedly be the best ever in the years to come I rekon as he is still young

Peaky i know you are only 15/16 but your ignorance is astounding, Ronaldo is the 2nd best player in the world by a mile and i admit this whilst hating both him and Madrid so i dont see your problem.

As for the international debate, Messi plays in a crap team and although Maradona did as well the difference is that in Maradona's day players played to their natural ability and now players can be coached by doctors etc to find that little bit extra. In my opinion Messi would run rings around Pele and Maradona and i think C.Ronaldo would as well to be honest.

From everything I heard, read and listened to from family - the year Napoli won their only Serie A title, Maradona pretty much done it single-handedly. That may be a disservice to his team-mates, but that's what I understand.

Maradona and their defense won it, which is always glossed over. But then again, defenses usually are.

It's not just the play he plays that impresses me... It's his attitude. He is always positive, never gives up and I have only ever seen him dive once... And that is pretty amazing considering he is from argentina lol. Class above the rest and I think it is between him and pele for best ever footballers although I see messi as probes the best ever... He is still quite young as well!

Don't know about the best ever (yet!), but he's the best in the world today, by miles and miles. C.Ronaldo is great, but he cannot hold a candle to the ability of Lionel Messi. It's an honour just to watch the wee man play.

    Oh, aye and also...

Get a grip Lenny, we can easily afford him and pay his wages :icon_mrgreen:
