Mental. What a story if he moves there.

Good example for other young players from over here about what can happen when you take a risk and go abroad rather than playing it safe.

Good on him. I think he was just unlucky here with Broony and the emergence of McGregor, Armstrong and Rogic

    * sake :56:

Was always apparent he had the talent. Maybe too small and lightweight for us, this attitude is still prevalent in Scotland sadly.

He’s suited to the continent, buzzing for him is he ends up at Fiorentina.

Serie A Fiorentina have made a £2m bid for midfielder Liam Henderson - five months after Celtic sold the 22-year-old to Bari for just £115,000. (Sunday Express, print edition)

I’m not so sure. It’s maybe a bit like Ki leaving (although Ki was a much better player). He’s a good player, but he wasn’t close to being a first choice midfielder here.

I think we majorly * up handling Liam Henderson. He should never have stepped down a level to go on loan as a makeweight for Scott Allan. I said it at the time he was ready to make a step up, have him with an SPL team or a Championship team for a year. Good to see that it didn’t set him back too much.

I really rate him and it’s no surprise that a team like Fiorentina do as well.

I think his lack of pace would have hindered him at Celtic. He is probably more suited to Italian football.

McGeouch is a far superior player and even he isn’t good enough for us. I think he’s drifted away naturally.

Aye, you’ve always said that about him. I can’t help but disagree, from what I’ve seen of him the only thing Henderson lacks in his game is pace.

I don’t think Fiorentina would ever take a gander at McGeouch (and I like him as a player), Henderson’s ceiling is far higher for me.

best of luck to him, hopefully he gets the move and becomes a really good player.we might regret it although its still another great success for our youth set up if he makes it in serie a.and good for our national team.

Strange one because Henderson never Looked good enough to be a starter for us but Fiorentina are probably a better team than Celtic and they clearly rate him highly!

Well done to him anyway, most young boys get shipped out on loan and give up or * it up (Tony Watt), Henderson not only chose two different countries to live in but has thrived.

Lack of mobility was evident at Hibs..

Always looked decent at us though..

My pet hate is letting our better youngsters go or fuckall or get to a stage their surplus and contract is (or almost) up..

100 grand for year's of loan's and development for some side to coin in almost 2 mill for 6 month's of it..

Always thought we could've sold him for a decent profit to England or something..

yeah i know what you mean i think

the over all setup of the game up here is hindrance to footballers especially the young ones and you can see how its hurt us at international as well as european football

theres allways been far too much emphasis put on winning and results and no where near enough empasis put on pure footballing ideas and attributes so when young very good technical footballers come through they have to give up pure football to play kick, rush and barge football so that their team wins at all costs

this isnt the way the rest of the world teaches football

we can develop players but we dont or wont develop the game im suprised actually a lot more dont go abroad i think they would do well, do better

Will be delighted for him if it works out. Always encouraging for young Scots to go abroad and make a a name for themselves.

Aye just shows you, if we loaned him to them then we could probably be getting £1.5-2million now.

We probably made an * of it with Sviatchenko as well, I always thought he would have suited Italian football - Italian teams really like defenders the style of Sviatchenko who mark tightly and are all over guys tussling and pulling/pushing thats the way they always defend in Italy and if he went there he'd have likely done well and been worth a few £million instead we gave him to a skint Danish team and probably only got £1million back although maybe Sviatchenko just wanted to go back there?

We need an opposite version of a Scout, one who will * our unwanted players out to Leagues by offering them to clubs they would suit for loans to up their values before we sell them :56:

    We do it a lot..

Loaning player's to Hibs with no intention of them coming back...when Hibs are skint. Aberdeen as well..

Player's back to Denmark when they're pretty skint and he was surplus..

    * these league's off which have no value to us, unless we're planning on keeping youngsters we put on loan to SPL club's....which will happen with Morgan and Johnston most probably..

They bring no value to us..
