    sounds a bit cringey doing the "from the first day I come here" type broken english with the upward inflection that foreigners do. not as bad barton or that though and it mabye does make us easier to understand to them :giggle1:

    Seeing him break through under Lennon when he was 17 was exciting, shame he never took the next step up with us. Could well make a name for himself in Italy.

    Probably what they are taught though in media training etc.

    Hear it from even the top level players. None really interview well, which doesn't really matter anyway.

    Missed the question, what was he asking about religion??

    Thankfully he didn't quite do the accent. Just done what most us do when in a foreign country and speak a bit too simple/slow to make sure we are understood.

    Can understand where you're coming from and going overseas with a scottish accent is going to be hard , but speaking broken english isn't really going to help anyone unless the interpreter has told him otherwise (looks like he is doing his talking on the park anyway).

    Good on the lad for going over there, although Bari doesn't look like getting promotion this year he seems to be developing into some player and will surely be on the radar of a few serie a clubs. Deserves a scotland call up soon in the next friendly if ***** like kevin McDonald, McTominay and Cairney are getting appearances, but we all know how much scotland managers love the players down south until it's too late.

    My experience of speaking english with russians is that they do only understand if i get the grammar wrong on purpose. The more broken the better.
