Never a great player and no loss to us ,still find it strange he was considered good enough to play up front against the hun (as if that was our best player available to play there)and now he,s off to the states.

Wheres the forward thinking from lenny?not saying he knew morgan would be off so soon but it seems the club had no interest in keeping him here.

I dont think anybody felt morgan up front was a good choice nor are they surprised he,s gone but strange how he went from first reserve to eddie to being surplus to requirements in such a short time.

Lewis Morgan has now agreed terms on a three-year deal with Inter Miami.

The Major League Soccer new boys applied for a work visa for the Scotland star on Monday.

He will finalise his £400,000 move from Celtic as soon as the relevant paperwork is completed.

The 23-year-old will join his new team mates as soon as he is given clearance.

Inter Miami – who are part owned by David Beckham – kick-off against FC Dallas in their first match in February.

They've moved to snap up Morgan, who joined Celtic for around £300,000 from St Mirren in 2018, ahead of their big kick-off.

The 23-year-old was unable to establish himself at Parkhead and spent time back in Paisley and down south with Sunderland.

Morgan, a former Rangers youth prospect, made 31 appearances in total for the Hoops under both Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon.

He scored two goals, his last coming in the 3-1 Europa League win over Rennes in November

    Don’t believe the £400k for a minute

so we paid £300k for him.

    sold him for £400k

with 20% going to st Mirren

    so they get £380k.

nah it was reported “significant 6 figure fee” and defo seen a higher amount!

    20% of £400k = £80k, so we get £320k.

    If that figure is correct.

Anywhere is safe if you are rich. Miami is a slighly more organized Latin American city. I say this is as a latin american myself

Where is Giovinco now? At the powerhouse of Al Hilal? After not even getting in the shittiest italian national team ever?

And Giovinco is a point out of the curve, he is possibly the only example of a guy with potential for being at the best european clubs going to MLS at a good age. And even that I dont consider a very good decision.

I am not european myself and would love to see a football world less centered on Europe, with South America regaining strenght, Asia, Africa and such becoming important. But MLS is a drab, souless league in a country that doesnt understand football culture.

Anyway, the point is we got paid for Morgan.

Bang average. Didn't expect more from a championship punt tho.

    All the best

Doesn’t matter where Giovinco is now, you said the MLS is for players who are in their prime and *. Which is a lot of pish.

There’s plenty good footballers in MLS and moving forward there will be more and more.

Not good enough for us by a distance imo, stood out in the championship and it wouldn't surprise me to see him at a club like Aberdeen or Hibs in the future and doing well, fair play gave it his all when he did play but just not good enough. Good luck lad.

I think he's maybe been a bit unhappy at a lack of game time and the result is you get farmed out to the MLS.
Seems like we couldn't get shot of him quickly enough and generally this isn't always about football.
It's got all the hallmarks of someone asking for a move and getting one.

I hope he does well but it's just not worked out for him at Celtic.

As for Miami Beckham United that is a strange, strange choice.
For example, they have never played a game of football.

But then football clubs are usually owned by the 1%.
Miami Beckham United are no different.
Sorry i mean, Inter (Milan) Miami (Manchester) United.
It couldn't get more cringe worthy.

Beckham bought out Simon Fuller. That's where we're at. Selling players for 400k we should be loaning out
to a top six Scottish team to make the league more competitive for Sevco.

It is what it is and it is in fact laughable that Lewis is off to play Soccer in the MLS which is effectively gonna kill off
any chance of a Scotland cap or a reputable career.

MLS might have some good games and some good teams, but it's essentially a way for people to make money avoiding tax.

Vela, Josef Martinez, Pozuelo, Diego Rossi, Valeri, Jonathan Dos Santos and even Cristian Pavon (Loan, option to make permanent) are just the tip of the iceberg of players who could have played a high level in Europe but chose MLS or have stayed in MLS by choice now. There's a lot of good players.

I watched Atlanta FC a few times. Generally the entertainment value is OK and it's a different route out of South America for lots of South American talent.
People go their for a lifestyle choice. Not so much a football choice.

    Atlanta's stadium cost $1.6billion.
