    Outstanding talent.

Should offer St Mirren money just now and try get it sealed for next season before clubs from down south throw stupid money at him in January.

Well assuming Paddy doesn't return next summer :( , we'd be in need of a winger. He could fill in behind Forrest and come in when needed. Who knows, might even be good enough to push for a starting place.

Should say I've never seen him play and never watched him so my word means *, but if we are in fact watching him then it could a legit possibility.

Rodgers mentioned Morgan when talking about young Scottish players.

“The boy Lewis Morgan at St Mirren: quick, dynamic, can press, can run, can get at people. You’ve got the players, it’s how they are coached and how they are asked to play.

Brendan's hard for him already. Will definitely not be surprised to see us in form him in January.

Yet people who've never seen the boy play were rubbishing him on here...

No doubt will be raving about him now Rodgers has mentioned him :56:

I know some people might not like it but I wouldn't be against us signing some young, promising talent like Morgan who maybe aren't quite ready yet, and loaning them out to other Premiership clubs. Provided they are fairly cheap.

If they perform then give them a chance here. Christie sort of fits that.

I would doubt he's good enough to make an impression here right away.

Brendan Rodgers has name checked St Mirren winger Lewis Morgan.

The 21-year-old is the most exciting talent to emerge in the Scottish game this year and has been heavily scouted since the start of this season.

Saint Mirren turned down offers from England for Morgan during the summer transfer window but are likely to cash in in January with the player out of contract next summer.

Morgan came through the ranks at Sevco but was released at u-17 level before making his mark in Paisley.

Rodgers is keen to develop emerging Scottish talent and despite Scotland’s latest international failure stated the case for native talent as he previewed tomorrow’s clash with Dundee.

“You’ve got the players, the players are here,” The Sun reported.

“The boy Lewis Morgan at St Mirren: quick, dynamic, can press, can run, can get at people. You’ve got the players, it’s how they are coached and how they are asked to play.

“At the highest possible level you have to be able to play football. That’s education, that’s coaching.

“People go on about me about going to the Premier League again or going to another country but I enjoy so much of my working life up here, because I get the chance to work at a huge club with big pressure but develop players.”

Rodgers showed in the summer with the signing of Jonny Hayes that he has faith in signing players from within Scotland.

St Mirren believe that holding on to Morgan will give them a far better chance of winning promotion to the Premiership and may opt to hang on to the winger in January rather than cash in and damage their top flight hopes.

His contract up at end year? Get him on a pre-contract in January if St. Mirren don't snap him up?

He's gonna have untold side's after him with his contract running out..

Bring him in. Loan him to the English league 1 and then championship for a year and a half and see what he's got. Worst case we make a nice profit off him..

Sign him and loan him back to St Mirren for the rest of the year. Playing meaningful, pressure filled games with a team going for a league title will only help him develop. Then, he can come in during the summer and we can see what he can do. We'll be in need of a winger as well, so he'll come in at the perfect time.

Magic Hat, Birmingham and the Huns also supposed to be interested.

Personally know his family, they are huns but not of the bitter variety. Armchair huns, not sure about the boy personally though.

Even still, in this climate, under Brendan Rodgers, we are probably as appealing across the divide as we ever have been.

If Rodgers and the scouts like him we should be snapping him up.
