    For his own sake he'll move on next summer, shame but injuries and off field stuff have * his Celtic career.

    Even after everything we should be able to at least make our money back on him.

    I don't need to be a mind reader to see someone with 200 odd career goals won't appreciate fighting for a bench spot, even when fit he hasn't had a look in.

    He's literally fell from 1st place to 3rd choice, at best, striker in less than 3 years. Moving on with our best wishes is clearly the way this ends.

    Hope he can get a few more goals before his departure.

    So in other words, you have no clue what the future holds for him same as everyone else.

    But he will get his chance to remain a part of this squad, as told to us by Lenny literally yesterday.

    I just find these niggling injuries suspect.

    If they are all true then he’s more injury prone than Rogic just now and people will still give the “he’s oor best striker” *

    I like the guy but he never seems available anymore. Constant injuries and “illnesses”

    See his recent omission(s) from the squad. Lenny first said it was his calf playing up then in another presser said he was ill.

    Not talking about his issues from last season

    I get the feeling some folk are giving up on the guy and dare I say it, sound like they might be happy to see the back of him

    * that

    He has a big part to play here yet, indeed he HAS played an important part already this season. The injuries are frustrating but he has it in him as a player to still bang them in.

    Would love to see him back soon, and selfishly, I'm desperate for him to be fit for Scotland never mind us!!

    I thought Lenny said it was both, he had an injury and then picked up a virus.

    Big season for him.

    If it’s a season of more niggling injuries every few weeks and him constantly needing to get fit then he needs punted next summer.

    Griff will be here for the 10 at least and probably wouldn't be surprised if he was a Celtic player till the end of his career.
    He will, have a big part to play in this and throughout the coming seasons.

    He's the reason, along with others in the team, that we find ourself in the position to be able going for 9 right now and the
    10 after.
    I've not even got around to metioning the "Treble treble" yet.

    Thankyou Griff.!! :50::50:

    Really hope he's back soon, i like Bayo and he offers us something different, but having a fully fit and firing Griffiths will be vital this season.

    Definitely. Bayo has looked decent but is unproven, Griffiths is a proven goal scorer and an all round good player. He may have looked at the team recently and seen Eddy in brilliant form and Bayo looking pretty good, and thought he would struggle to get back into the team. However today shows there IS still a place for him in the Celtic squad.

    I think if Griff isn't back fit by November I think we should bring in another forward in the January window as bayo has not proved he's a constant goal scorer and we can't take the chance if edouard gets a long term injury .
    So don't know what you other guys think better to be safe than sorry and have that extra forward just incase .

    Totally agree and the last 2 league games are exhibit A and B on how badly he is needed.
